So last month after talking to a women we decided to meet up,she asked for more pics which was no problem then commented about things she could see I'm my bedroom (a pile of odd socks waiting for their pair etc) so I set off to meet and driving 1 and a half hours ended up in council estate. Went onto her dinghy flat and she wasnt much like her pics and started smoking pot..anyway was only there 10 fucking minutes.. rough and rude comes to mind...

Is an hour and a half drive really that much? Christ, many of us commute for well over an hour just to get to work each day.

Seems like another thread where a guy makes a thread that if made by a woman would have loads of people expressing sympathy. How many women have complained on here of people not looking like their photo and dirty houses? If drugs had been unexpectedly bought into a meet too, there would be queues of people saying how shitty that was.

But hey, the OP is male and you’ll all take great delight in ripping him apart.

I do have to disagree with that , I am incredibly picky and have happily met someone I really like by driving that distance and they have too which has enabled us to meet halfway at a hotel for a naughty night

OP I’m not sure there is any logic with your post other than offensive and insulting - not only to the individual you’re complaining about, but also those that share similar outlook or living conditions.

If you ‘have a connection’ as you mentioned, agreed to meet, drove 1.5 hours and surely exchanged messages and pictures - any sane person will not commit to such length unless 1000% confident in the action they will take. You version of the story is doubtful. That’s if it actually did take place.

I remember a thread not too long ago, a woman said how she had a social meet but the guy looked nothing like his pics so she went bathroom and climbed out the window, then loads of other women joined in all laughing and joking sharing storys of crawling under tables to make a run for the exit.

I joined the thread and said how i bet that probably destroyed a part of the guys confidance sat there alone waiting for the girl to come back from toilets.

Then i got jumped on lol

"Is an hour and a half drive really that much? Christ, many of us commute for well over an hour just to get to work each day.

Seems like another thread where a guy makes a thread that if made by a woman would have loads of people expressing sympathy. How many women have complained on here of people not looking like their photo and dirty houses? If drugs had been unexpectedly bought into a meet too, there would be queues of people saying how shitty that was.

But hey, the OP is male and you’ll all take great delight in ripping him apart.

I remember a thread not too long ago, a woman said how she had a social meet but the guy looked nothing like his pics so she went bathroom and climbed out the window, then loads of other women joined in all laughing and joking sharing storys of crawling under tables to make a run for the exit.

I joined the thread and said how i bet that probably destroyed a part of the guys confidance sat there alone waiting for the girl to come back from toilets.

Then i got jumped on lol

Women are strange creatures for sure.

As for the OP buddy i have a rule of never travelling more than 35 mins for a meet (probably why ive not met anyne off here for 2 years haha as everyone who im attracted to and wants to meet is hours away).

Sorry you had a 3 hour round trip for somome that didnt match her pics.

Not a great first post but as many have mentioned if it was a lady who had driven all that way only to be confronted by a pot smoking guy who looked nothing like his pictures there would be an outcry of white knighting and sympathy, the OP has every right to express his concerns, even if its not particularly well put, we wonder how many other men have had similar experiences but wouldn’t dare share it because of the abuse they would receive?

Yeah he should have left out the untidy council house comment and just focused on how she didnt resemble her pics and made a joint (i assume without any reference to smoking that stuff in her profile or messages).

The OP would be gettimg much more sympathy..... i think.

Never know any more on these forums. Seems new guys get a bit of a hard time regardless of what they post.

Looks like I painted a bad picture of myself here hahaha. i thought this was a site of people with open minds? I guess the way things are wrote you can read into them how ever you like,see them how you like. But no not desperate to drive this far it was a dual purpose trip and maybe my wording wasnt great but to have my home questioned then to turn up to a hovel where someone didnt look like their pics and was more interested in getting high then yes I will have my rant! ??

I’d rather travel 2 hours for a good meet than 10 minutes where I wasn’t really interested, it’s good to be selective and just go with what feels right.

I think anytime anyone airs their dirty laundry if you like on a public forum or posts negative comments be them right or wrong they are always going to have a negative comments.

Sometimes things are better unsaid. If meets go bad or things are not what they seem. Chalk it up as a learning experience and don't go back there

OP , it happens ,almost everyone here had similar experiences about visiting people's houses .

Just take it as a lesson to be learnt.

In future , meet half way at a neutral venue or if you think you got a connection then get a decent hotel for fun.

There are people who make an effort to be presentable and some who just want a shag.

I think it's perfectly reasonable for the OP to complain the female looked nothing like her picture and was smoking 420. If I went to a blokes house I would be out the door as fast as my legs could carry me, if they got out 420. If they were vastly different from their photo too, there's often comments on attraction in the forum.

There are often posts on the forum about mess in the back of photos but the OP complains about real life messy house and gets it in the neck.

I suspect had a lady made this thread, it would have got a different reaction x

My experience as a single is I've driven up to an hour and with traffic around Manchester that can be very local and had a good meet. Ive also driven sat outside and the person i was supposed to meet vanished went all quiet. However on that app the location service did tell me i was almost on top of her.

Clearly you build a rapport before deciding to meet exchanging address details. But your luck can be variable.

For my better half i drove for over 2 hours and we're together and swinging.

I think you missed the indicators

1. Pile of odd socks- surely room/house will not be clean, to clean house, socks have to squeeze into wardrobe, and this can be extended to kitchen, bathroom etc. For me clear sign

2. Not sure if she mentioned or informed you about smoking, if she did than ....

3. Pics not matching, she shared old pics or new? If old you should have asked new one, everyone uses camera phone

4. Dingy flat (I am sure you want to meet person not flat).

5. Best approach i would have been taken to come over my place (or pub/bar) and offer her to drop off post meeting anyways you drove to and fro.

In spite of everything if I were in your place, I would have had chat for 10 mins, and excuse myself politely for any shag. Not judging based on few lines OP, if I am than I should to be ready for same by others. 4 fingers pointing to me when I point 1 finger to you. And take it as bad experience .
