Sick and tired of green tick so called verified users to many fakes too many verified by phone yes you have the power of speech verified by cam yes you do exist !!!

Verified by what exactly about time verified users get the badge that you were verified for ie a webcam with a tick or a phone with a tick and well an Icon for actual meets ( have a competition a years free gold membership if you win the icon competition lol )

Totally sure we are not the only couple who are sick of fakes fantasists pic collectors and bloody time wasters

Let's sort the wheat from the chaff !

Would agree. Don't see how web-cam, phone, self-verification, or even social meet count for anything, other than the person exists. Would like to see only other user-verifications, with possibly different icons (like e-bay. Lol) for people who meet more regurlarly/often.

Simply do not put your faith in verifications, use your own instincts, chat on the phone or on calm early on and you cant really go on, if something sounds odd walk away. No need to get stressed its supposed to be fun after all

well dont take them as verified genuine people,

you have your own meet criteria stick to it!

it clearly says if they only been done by phone or cam or in person!

Well I don't take no notice unless there's a verification showing on the profile,any Tom,Dick, or Mary can be verified by phone or cam then hide it

clearly states means nothing!...Ive sttled some fake veris before lol...there are guys/couples...maybe even girls who give fake verifications...for some entirely unknown reason to me

its easy to get duped too....have verified a lady on here after chatting on phone......and never met - obviously just wanted to be verified.

brill idea to say on profile "how" youve been verified,people hide how they are verified and may never meet - thats ok if they state that they dont want to actaully meet -just phone/cam fun

Isn't it a bot farcical relying on verifications? We like to exchange a few messages and talk to someone on the phone fairly quickly and assess our selves rather than take what someone else has said as gospel.

With any friendship/relationship you have to work a little at it so new meets shouldn't be any different.

Just remember we was all none verified at one point

everyone has to start somewhere and all because people have no verification does not mean they wont meet it could just mean they havnt had the chance yet

It is indeed supposed to be fun but there are people who spoil it. Quite often a couple may start out as genuine and then decide they don't want to continue in the lifestyle. They, or generally the man, will continue on the site as a picture collector. This can be a real waste of time and there is no fun in that.

well if you can tell if they are real or fake then it must be pretty clear for you really otherwise you would think they were real. its not hard to click through profiles and see who verified them and how likely it is they did someone a favour rather than really verified them!

well if they hide their verifications they might of been deleted/or blocked users. or your right they might be suspect verifications.

i cant see how you were duped, you talked on the phone and she never had to meet you. you verified her for speaking on the phone, seems like everything in order there.

some lasses dont meet, they might want to at the time in their head of saying it, but it takes a certain amount of bottle to do so for both guys and girls, thats why you always going to get people let you down over the net.

you might of not been for her, or maybe she did want verifiying. if it was me i wouldnt be so bothered about it, i'd just think well i did my best and it never happened, now lets find some new friends! might be harder to take if you struggle to connect with people on here, but if you can stand out from the crowd you will always find people who see your into it like them and they like the look and sound of you so chat back and meet

cant honestly say talking to someone who turns out to not want to meet has ever bothered me

I never come on here looking for anything as such, i just come on for a nose and chat, if a meet comes out of that all well and good if not then no problem, i dont see talking to someone that comes to nothing as such a waste of my time

okay... here is a responce that is going to sound harsh at the beginning but i'll explain....

Pick better....

what i mean by that is if something in your choosing process isn't working than in the end only you can change that....

so what are you doing... going by verification alone? doing your own due diligence, talking till you feel comfortable, phone calls to make sure, having social meets ect ect ect.......

the reliance that some seem to have on verification is interesting.... in how many other circumstances would you believe the word of one stranger in relation to another stranger..... not many....

so to think some use it as some sort of crutch rather than using there own common sense at times is laughable at best and actually quite sad at worst as everything is taken as gospel....

as a single female i verify people from social meets, i verify those i haven't or wouldn't play with.

just cos i don't fancy someone doesn't mean that the next person won't.

i rarely include sexual info in veris. i include info that i would find useful - was he on time, presentable, socially capable, could he hold a conversation, was he fun to be around, did he look like his pics, was he well groomed (hygiene is very important), did i feel at ease with him????

but i don't phone or cam so you'll never see one of those veris written by me.

Don't recall the op saying they relied on verifications...or believe they are 'gospel'..'but I'm sure they see verifications as added valuable information when assessing a potential meet. Listening to your instincts, and making sure you talk before thinking of meeting are, I would have thought, a given.

Have been asked many times to verify someone after meeting for a social drink and i am not prepared to do so.

I have a Nigerian bank account which currently has a balance of £4.3 million and I am willing to pay you 10% just for letting the money rest in your account for one week whilst I set up a UK account… you may of course keep the interest… I just need your details.

Surely the point of verifications is just to say that this is indeed a couple/single fem/single male. Hence why the web cam and phone exists - to say that a man appeared on cam who matched the pics/info on his profile for example.

All the other info is subjective and can differ from one time to the next - he was on time, I fancied him, he's great in bed and so on. That's the bit where your selection process kicks in.

As previous post can't see where op has said or implied they are reliant on symbols re making choices. Not necessarily the most cunning of plans granted, but how, and why, you need to label the op 'inept' escapes me.

I can't see where I say my post is aimed purely at the OP... nor where I label any individual as being 'inept'.

I do believe my comment starts with the word 'if'.... which leaves the reader to judge their own ineptness....may be this is why it escapes you, just a thought.
