Why do women seem to read messages and instead of be polite saying not for me just block! We (men) do have profiles to.

I'll summarise what I've learned from various other threads that pose the same question.

1. Site rules state no reply means no interest.

2. Imagine receiving 100 messages a day from profiles that don't interest you. It would take a very long time to reply to them all. I would need a fab secretary.

3. Replying breaks any future filter you may want to apply to that profile.

4. Replying may result in abuse and further questions of why... etc etc. I used to reply no thank you and got a mixture of abuse and gratitude.

But now due to 3. I don't reply at all.

I rarely block though. Just tap the delete button

I get that, what I don’t get Is why I get blocked because of the number of idiots on here in the past. Maybe because I am relatively new to the scene. I’m always polite and only message ladies that are looking for someone like my description. It takes time trying to introduce in a message then see it blocked is like kicked out n the plums.

You get blocked because you're not what they want, plenty of people use blocking as a way to filter out seeing people they have no interest in ever meeting.

There are plenty of present “idiots”, never mind past ones. We usually reply and very frequently get a reply “why” or “give me a go” or “you’re not genuine”, this is tiring and I guess people who get more messages than we do have been worn down by it and can’t be bothered.

As for feeling it’s like a kick in the plums, you’re going to need a thicker skin. If somebody you don’t know doesn’t want to sleep with you, it’s not a really big deal. A large emotional response like that is a little worrying.

Women and couples get rejected and ignored too and just have to abide by the rules of the site, same as single guys.

It happens a lot even when a polite nice message is sent about something completely normal. Just say heyho and move on and yes just have a thicker skin lol

Hmmmm 1 in 4 harass you for declining as its the only message in their in-box so best often not to reply or just block.

In my experience, lose any ego you have, develop rhino thick skin, accept that not everyone is for everyone and move on. No harm no foul. I can only imagine what women and couples have to go through.
