When I first joined here last September (this is my second profile a stalker ruined my first) I wanted social meets first for safety and to see if there was a connection. I only meet younger guys so I would get an interesting message, chat for a while, suggest coffee, then bam, they don't like coffee, drinks then..nope they didnt drink, I just didnt get it until I realised lots of younger guys have an older woman fantasy, but being seen out in public is a different matter..its embarrassing and weird apparently. Good enough for sex but not for a public meet. Like a dirty secret almost. Anyone else encountered this? Younger guys..is this how you feel?

I like older ladys and I wunt be embarrassed to seen in public with them the way I see it is a women aint to want to meet the guy if there embarrassed by them so there no point even trying to meet a old lady if you are embarrassed I would be more then happy to be seen in public with a older lady

Never encountered it but I suppose they think they will pass as our son .

I think young men who want to meet older women fall into two brackets. The ones who genuinely prefer older women or for who age is not an issue and the ones who think we're an easy target.

If they won't meet you publicly they fall into the second category.

Bet they’d drink coffee if you offered to serve them it in a sexy maid outfit in bed, it may just be a confidence issue or could be they can be arsed to put the effort in and just want a quick fuck, they’ll learn good things are worth putting the effort in and the build up will only make it even more intense and mind blowing

I've had coffee socials with younger guys out there in the big bad world.

Not been something that's been an issue for me.

Maybe they pretend I'm their probation officer if they get spotted by friends. ..

To be fair I've mainly dated older women most of my life. I've never had a problem with being seen out with them or people knowing their my girlfreind. What's important is that I'm happy, couldn't give a hoot what other think.

to be fair to younger men older guys can try to avoid being seen in public with "wimmin off a swingers site" or they want to meet so far away from where they live in case anyone recognises them that it becomes like a treasure hunt.

I guess it comes down to discretion.

If you live somewhere fairly small and you know the staff and/or half the regulars in most of the places in town, it's not so much a matter of not wanting to be seen out in public so much as not wanting to be seen out in public with someone you don't really know anyway, then next time you walk in there have people start asking you endless questions about 'who's your new GF', or worse, judging you if you're in there with someone different the next week, etc etc.

By the same token trying to get out of a social meet beforehand by claiming not to like coffee or drink is a bit weak... I mean every Café sells tea or soft drinks or for that matter there's always bloody tap water if things are desperate...

Completely disagree with the younger guys that have done this. With a previous woman away from the site I would often go out for drinks regularly with them. The social aspect is what

Does it for me, spending time with a more mature woman

I don't think it's necessarily that they don't want to be seen in public. Although Baron T made a good point about people wanting to be discreet.

I think may just want a fuck. They agree to a social then can't be arsed so try and change it to a fuck meet. If someone still says they want a social first they make excuses to try and get a fuck.

It's fair to say I think that a woman my age with a guy of say 28 would draw judgemental looks if we were obviously not related and out having a drink

I have no issues with meeting younger men for a social but find it quite embarrassing when we check into a hotel together.

No, I'm sure you wouldn't

When we used to meet younger men none of them seemed embarrassed but as we're a couple it was probably less obvious maybe.

"I have no issues with meeting younger men for a social but find it quite embarrassing when we check into a hotel together."

It's actually more embarrassing if you genuinely are travelling with your mum (and sharing a room for the sake of cheapness) and they start giving you knowing nods n' winks on reception cos they assume you're a gigolo. This has actually happened to me more than once when travelling through France....

Yes I’ve had this before on more than one occasion. I always insist on a social first and a no of younger guys that have approached me seemed to go off the idea when I advised this! Not sure of their reasons as they have just gone quiet and I’m not chasing lol but I’ve always assumed they didn’t want to be seen with me in public! Sorry but if you’re ashamed to be seen out with me then we ain’t having sex..such a turn off.

To be honest it's probably more likely they're playing away and dont want to be seen by anyone with another woman.
