it mite seem strange coming from a single guy ? but im getting really pissed off with timewasters, if your not genuine about meeting + all you want is abit of dirty chat ? then say so, ladies + cples moan about us single guys being timewasters, believe me us genuine ones have the same problem, admin let us name + shame + let the genuine people on fab have fun !!!

I've been on this site three years. I've yet to encounter a timewaster...then again, my definition may differ from yours.

Conversation that fizzles out: not a timewaster.

Meeting arranged but cancels: not a timewaster.

Wants more than one social meet before playing: not a timewaster.

Meeting arranged, you turn up and they don't with no explaination: timewaster.

Timewasters are easy to spot...if you use your common sense and not your genitals.

Anyone that wants to know what you're going to do to them in all their messages, especially if it's via MSN, refuse to talk on the phone, unable to firm up a date for a social meet is a fantatist and won't meet in my opinion.

If you're encountering frequent timewasters then the common denominator is you.

Naming and shaming won't work and will never be allowed thank goodness. Try using your commonsense to make better choices and good luck.

Hang on, didn't you say you wanted to meet me (and a certain female buddy of mine) last week Saturday but then you didn't turn up so we assumed you bottled it?

... PS: See how easy naming and shaming can be abused?

If you look through the forums you'll actually find them crammed full of threads where single males are moaning about time wasters.

Firstly, define what you mean by it - ultimately deciding not to arrange a meet after chatting for a while is not usually considered time wasting by many...

Then, like Sassy said, look at your selection process if you're getting no-shows.

Whining is such an attractive trait

I have put in my profile exactly what I am looking for and how I like to play my meets if blokes get to pushy or are rude they get deleted. Its amasing how many people don't read profiles before contacting a member.

As for genuine, there are lots of genuine swingers using this site. Using common sense will help you find them.

I'm a single guy on this site and have been on and off for a few years and never had anyone I'd class as a timewaster. I think so long as you're willing to invest a bit of time getting to know the couple/woman then naturally it should work ok though that doesn't discount short term meets after only one chat. Both are great fun and I agree with previous posters, it's very unattractive to see someone moaning. If I look at. Profile which starts in UPPERCASE bemoaning timewasters etc I read no further. Anyway good luck and happy swinging.

Sassy, you start your post with 'I've never encountered a timewaster', & I agree, pretty much, with your definition. However, someone who cancels, for whatever reason, and then makes no further contact with you, is also a timewaster. Also, about your section on 'fantasists'. Again, I agree pretty much that these people aren't going to meet, but insomuch that you have even read their messages/replied before you decided they were fantasists, they have wasted your time. Thus, they too, by definition, are timewasters.

I disagree, how can someone be a timewaster if your already sat at a computer doing stuff and pass an odd message to someone. How can some one be a time waster if they cancel, they have let you know.

I agree completely with sassy, a timewaster is someone who doesnt show up when a time and place have been set.

Four years ive been on here and never encounted a timewaster yet. I like to think im pretty astute

If they cancel, & make no further contact, they are a timewaster, or they would have rearranged. Any 'time' spent messaging a 'fantasist', however quickly you decide this, is again, wasted time. The fact that you have nothing better to do than sit at a pc & send messages, is irrelevant, you have still wasted your time. I don't see you as 'astute', when you can't see this, even when it has been written down for you!

I imaging that you're very astute actaully - It's a case of having to be.

Most of us have a nose for it. Some seem to bemoan the amount of time spent composing messages to others, yet these are the very thing by which meets are made, and therefore shouldn't be skimped. The old maxim of you only get out what you put in applies. It's no use worrying over the ethics and functioning of others when there is nothing you can do about it either.

The problem with naming and shaming someone might be if they took offence to what you said and came back with things like you were pushy and rude. Then you would have that stigma even if it wasn't true.

They may have had reasons for not meeting and you will probably never know. Your frustration just doesn't put you in a good light so smile and message another.

We had arranged to meet 4 single guys of here last night.

2 turn up. why mail us about time and where etc and not turn up. pisses me off. I agree shame and name should be allowed. I realise things can happen to alter plans but a simple sorry the next day isn,t too much to ask. ian
