I agree, the forums are very unfriendly at times. Some are looking for a reason to be offended and they jump on it! It makes me laugh but others I’m sure will be very very put off.

The forums aren’t the problem, the people that use them are. It’s a perfectly good platform. The problem with people is that when they’re good they’re very, very good and when they’re bad they’re horrid.

Stick to the happy stuff and let the rest pass you by ... unless you love a good debate/argument, then dive on in
