So, after being in the forces for years I've slowed down on the keep fit regime and putting on a bit of middle age spread.

Looking to get on a good diet to lose a stone or two in the shortest space of time before hitting the gym again. Any one any good diet plans.

Read The Obesity Code by Jason Fung. Might give you a slightly different option.

Since living abroad for work I have been following a strict carnivore ‘zero carb’ lifestyle/diet, mainly eating steak and drinking water or black coffee. I was eating one meal a day, at around 18:30 each day, usually around 1.5kg of beef ribeye cooked in ghee. At first it was difficult but after a couple of weeks the hunger vanished.

After 10 weeks I weighed in and found out that I’d lost 4 stone. I didn’t care so much about the weight, however the comfort of better fitting clothes and huge gains in energy and confidence were pretty life changing.

Whichever method you choose, good luck to you and I hope it works.

Keto is the easiest and quickest, just cut out carbs/sugar for 1-2 months and you drop weight like nothing.

Really hard to keep up though since you can barely eat out and have to plan everything in advance, but you dont have to excercise so it's not all bad.

Depends how quickly you want to lose it and how much effort you're willing to put in

Low carbs (and slow-release ones) with none after midday. High protien, high nutrition. Build muscle which burn more fat the more they develop, even at rest. Lose weight by eating well not with cardio. Simples.

Doesn’t matter which diet you pick the basic element is the same, create a calorie deficit. Put less calories in than expenditure and drink plenty water. Avoid caffeine after 2000hr and limit alcohol intake.
