I spend a lot of time hating my body... I'm riddled with arthritis and I suffer fibromyalgia both which when bad have an impact on my mental health. And I know I wont be alone in that. And my fab pics always show the best pose and the best bits. Until this week.

Until now I'd rather have had pics of my foof than my belly on my public profile but actually... I dont care. It's my body and it's time I stopped hating it and embraced it. Every fat flabby wobbly bit, every sore and swollen joint, every burning muscle.

To anyone who hasn't tried it....try and embrace your body. It's quite liberating xxx

Take up naturism, there are always ladies bigger than you, which makes you feel better.

I took up life modelling to help my body confidence and public speaking fears. You have the artist or photographer looking in detail at every bit of you. Very liberating.

Main thing, is no matter your size or shape, look good. Make up and hair done, some thought into your wardrobe, and a smile. You'll be surprised at the sexy reaction you'll get.

Dawn French for instance, I'm straight, but fuck me a sexy larger lady.

Good for you. It's always good to love your body and embrace it.

I was born with a dent in my chest and I never felt conscious about it as it never bothered anyone I've met.

I've always liked my body but there have been times in the past where I didn't feel as confident. Not because of my body but with me having Aspergers Syndrome, I would have social anxieties but with the help of the friends I've made on and off Fab, I do my best to stay confident and not be afraid to approach people.

I am forever telling my wife how gorgeous she looks but she suffers from body confidence and goes through stages of really hating / detesting her body.

She puts this down to years of being told she was too fat to borrow clothes from her sisters (may I point out she is by far and away the best out of the three of them in looks, body and personality).

I love every bit of her and I know I drive her mad grabbing her boobs when she is in the middle of something but I wouldn't have her any other way.

Sadly body-confidence is an issue for many women. We have learned that ALL women are beautiful. Having looked at your profile, ElectricBabyBlues, that goes for you too.

For me there's nothing more attractive than confidence...someone who is happy in their own skin. I'm sure many of us have stuff we'd like to change. It's important to like who we are and accept the things that we cannot change and work towards changing those we can.

I felt the same way and took a picture of me and hubs fucking, belly on full show. Spent 3 days having it on here but set to private wondering if I should post it public. Will the people interested still be interested and then I just thought fuck it. They'd see it anyway.

But if they don't like it then it's their loss. This is me

I don't know the answer to that. I'm one of those annoying people who genuinely doesn't care what anyone thinks about me as long as the people I care about think I'm ok. I wonder if it starts with thinking bad about yourself and having that reinforced by believing negative comments. I have noticed that people with low body confidence tend to ignore or deflect 100 good comments and concentrate on one bad one.

People like that have deep issues. They need to destroy other people to feel better about themselves. The nastier they are usually means they are jealous of you. So take it as a massive compliment. Xx

This is true but we come back to my earlier point, a lot of people have a very low opinion of themselves so the criticism just confirms how they feel.

My clothes are often commented on, not always favourably , I always think "I'd be long sorry to take fashion advice from you"

Constructive criticism I'll take happily but destructive criticism is nasty.

There’s a few things here:

1. It’s easy to focus on - and give undue weight to - the things that we think make us less than perfect. But life’s too short to worry about things that we may not realistically be able to change so embrace yourself and how you look, you’ll be happier and, in actual fact, more attractive. I worried about losing my hair for ages but realised that the fretting got me nowhere. Obviously, I’m not to everyone’s taste but so what.

2. I love all types of people - beauty doesn’t come in one size or shape. I’ve always preferred the larger curvier ladies but I really do think almost everyone I’ve ever met is beautiful. This isn’t me just saying what I think people want to hear - it’s true. And I actually think more people are if the same mind than admit to being.

3. The women on this post are some of the sexiest, gorgeous women you could wish to meet.

4. Anyone who tries to make you feel bad about how you look is just a fucker and shouldn’t be given the head space.

I probably could have expressed all the above a little better but I hope you all get my point. OP, you are a beautiful woman - the pic of you in the shower is sexy and gorgeous xxx

None of us is 100 % confident.

We all have parts of us, we love, hate.

Lots of us battle to overcome our demons constantly

Large, small, scarred, birth marks. It makes no difference.

We can all praise ourselves for becoming more confident to a lesser or greater degree.

Pop culture has a lot to answer For, magazines, film stars, models.....whatever.

Yay for this last OP!! our bodies do the most amazing things every second of our lives..yet we often go around hating them as society has imposed a view on us that it's all about size & shape! Health is what's important, both mental & physical....this post has made me smile

Bloody well done

I (mr) hate my body but have been convinced by others i have a nice cock so i focus on that (yes sad i know). Mrs Uk hates her body but whenever we play both the m and f just pounce on her and say how wonderful she is.

your pics are fantastic and, in my opinion, when you play with someone you play with the person! The mind, the body, the personality. The whole package!

I wasn't suggesting otherwise.

Of course we are making ourselves feel bad, but there are external factors.

Peer pressure, the media, our own mental health. Just how we believe other people perceive us.

On fab, frankly a lot of people are repulsive to each other.

The messages I've seen, from people, purely because they've been rejected, simply with a "sorry, you arent for me" or "no thank you" are vile. After enough of them, of course you doubt yourself.

But these people are wrong.

I praise literally everyone on this thread that is overcoming and indeed gaining their confidence.

That is down to them.

"They" are doing that!!

As much as they have the ability to make themselves feel bad, "they" are turning it around.

I need to show my wife this, and your profile. She has exactly the same health issues, and possibly the onset of MS. It's the main reason she decided that we should end our couples profile some while ago.
