Are Couples Nights that different to Mixed?

Having had our first "couples" event after a fair few mixed (lots of single guys) evenings ... the dynamics are very different or at least more complex. Would love some feedback and discussion on why it is so, how to negotiate and how to re-negotiate this space. We have had great attention from the boys and couples on a mixed night ... is it different when there is no surplus of cock?

I think with couples nights you’ve got the added dynamics that both parties of the couple need to find the other attractive and both have to be happy to play which makes it very different x

Exactly this, when me and my wife regularly attended clubs we started on the couples only nights. We found a much higher percentage of nervous newbies there so conversation was always a little harder to start and play was very regimented, but couples saying exactly what they wanted and play was a little forced. On mixed nights we found far more experienced swingers who had learnt just to go with the flow. Conversation was easier and the whole dynamic was far sexier. Except for any hard boundaries it was very much go with the flow and have a great night. You could also mix and match single guys and gals so everybody had a mutual attraction.

It does seem to vary ,particularly club to club as there seems to be differing levels of single Male addmitances. Obviously from an economic point of view the single guy income is welcome,& for some couples the single guy”input” so to speak. Have yet to try a couples only event, but certainly intend to try it

I personally try to avoid couples nights because I find that the dynamics don't work for me.. ( I felt the same when I was half of a couple too) so yes I think that dynamics are very different.

I’m not as keen on couples in my nights. Don’t mind the odd one here and there but it’s not really my thing.

I find you get more people who go in order to meet up with friends so they’re not as open to chatting to new people and some of them can be a little superior about the fact that they won’t go to clubs on nights single guys can go in.

Cliquey Elite Swingers.

Depends on the club and the night though. Some couples nights are fun with friendly people.

Definitely - I’ve had some great nights at couples events and net done lovely people. Just find a few couples here and there with that attitude and it puts me off. Plus I’m primarily looking for single guys if I’m out alone so it’s a non starter!

Depends on what you are looking for

As a cpl looking only for cpls we find cpls only nights better

Can play in an open room without the attention of single males

But a cpl looking for singles would not find that situation appealing

Originally we went on couples nights due to being told on several occasions that mixed nights, you would be harassed by single guys.

We absolutely love mixed nights the atmosphere is much more fun and feels more like swinging. I feel couples nights seem more like a social club and not as much play.

Couple nights are no where near the fun. They seem more like social nights compared to fridays.

Give me a friday anyday

I prefer mixed nights, even when I attend a club as part of a couple. As said above I find the atmosphere freer and the socialising more relaxed. I find couples nights a bit staid with a lot of eyeing each other up and not so much mixing.

We've not been to a cpls only night, but had considered them for these reasons.

I think the challenge is that clubs do vary by night. For every night we've had respectful me. taking no as a no, we've had men try to push their way into private rooms with us or drop their pants and wank inches from our faces...in the bar. In neither case had we even spoken to them.

Our "compromise" is to find clubs that have areas that are cpls only and that are enforced.
