So you met him but are now saying you didn't, or something? Because that what verifications are for - confirming that people exist and meet.

If you mean you've fallen out with him and don't want people to know you've played with him, you'll have to block him to remove the veri.

We've never felt the need to want to take back a verification, you could ask him nicely to remove it? Z

The verification might be deleted if you block them/him

to my knowledge you can't . verifications docome off when the sender leaves the site but thats a bit drastic innit?

if you block them you verificatipon is removed from theor profile

However verifications are there to say someone is genuine, if he met you hes genuine, they are not there for a character assessment all because you no longer get on with someone does not mean they are less genuone than they was when you verified them

If you block them, verifcations are automatically removed...

Perhaps you need to vet your meets more wisely for the future though, then you won't have to do this... BTW it did happen to me once, but I learned from it

I wouldn't give any more details, you may be breaking forum rules.... just block them and report if you feel that strongly.

Personally if it bothered me my 1st thing would be to contact them and explain and ask politely for them to hide it.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I will admit that if I find out someone has lied to me I would be sorely tempted to remove the veri. Probably better just to move on though.

forest of dreams

it can also happen when one of a couple profile play with one person, then when the couple split up and the single changes thier name the veri changes to the single profile name which means that that person did not play with the scank, so there should be something in place to be able to remove veris without having to leave the site and set up new profile having then lost your friends list and all the veris you have

I am not sure what meaning you give to the word 'genuine' but to me it means 'possessing the claimed or attributed character' .... if someone's profile says they are a single male and they are not single, then it and they are not genuine.

Genuine = they didn't lie about who or what they are.

There is, you block them. Veri magically disappears from their profile!

Still giggle when I see " Met em" and that's it. The other one is " Met em, looks like photo" and there is no photo on the persons profile.

Just as a matter of interest as I've never had the need or desire to 'take back' a verification, I block them and my verification of them disappears from their profile.

So what would happen if I later unblocked them?

Newcastle and Gateshead

it is probably the one situation where i do have some empathy for someone leaving a verification and then finding out that what they believed someone to be isn't true....

because in theory they could claim to be "genuine" in that they are who they say they are looks wise and they turned up..... but it isn't entirely "honest" in the fact that they are married when proporting to be single

the real answer would be to add certain categories that would open a whole can of worms and I still believe people wouldn't be honest as it would effect chances of getting meets.....

no real easy solution for it other than to block them to have it taken away, but it still doesn't take away the tick....

I've never really paid much attention to verifications... but even if I did, I don't think I'd use them to determine whether somebody's description of themself is accurate or not.
