Well, i know its kinda different for woman, as your playing to a captive audience really..us blokes would be satisfied with a bum pic, a boob or even a bit of leg....but am alone in thinking its a little cheeky of some female profilers to ask for a facial pic, but not provide one first.

Hi, I always send a face pic with first email. But then again us single blokes get a hard time (LOL) of it and it's very difficult to get any sort of trust!! Due to there being toooo many time wasters.

As a woman, the attraction I find is not with a body part but with a face, if I'm not attracted their is no point in going on with any messaging.

I also prefer to see a face pic as I meet locally and have had a few occasions where I know the person.

If a man is not happy to send me a face pic he doesnt need to message me so its not a biggy.

Just a preference as everyone is allowed to have, you dont need to comply with a request just not sure why it matters so much you feel the need to post in the forum?

I ask for a face pic if I think I'm interested. Then if it's a yes, lets meet and see how it goes I send one straight back.

If it's no thanks, then I delete the message with the pic after sending a friendly/polite no.

I have face pics available and wouldn't expect anyone to meet me without knowing what I look like. If I mailed someone first then they ask me for a pic then I would send it. But I'm generally the contactee not the contacter.

I have made the mistake in the past of meeting without a face pic and it's too much of a gamble - one very young looking guy took my no thanks badly and threatened me with violence!

As a rule of thumb: whoever initiated the conversation is the one who should send the first face pic. My opinion only, but it works for me.

And as my profile says, no face pic, no meet.

I have come to expect the one line "got a face pic?" reply I am afraid. Everyone seems to think that all single guys love flashing it all about without a care in the world rather than being as discreet as they are. Physical attraction is as important to the guy as the lady or couple but they hold all the cards so think they are justified in demanding. Cheeky? Certainly the ones with no pics or verifications yes!! Especially when so many don't actually meet anyone anyway..

I ask for one with the first message. If there is no attraction then there is no point wasting anyones time and will send send a polite no message. If there is an attraction I will send my face pics on reply.

If I message first I would send my face pics with the initial contact.

I don't think it's a single woman's demand. I treat people how I expect to be treated in return.

the way i look at it is this.... you don't have to jumpt thru hoops if you don't want too...

people who have contacted me asking for pics of various bits tend to get a short shrift... for every action there is a consequence...

has it cost me meets.. probably! does that bother me... not in the slightest...

if someone demands pictures you have the choice of saying yes... or saying no!

some people will do anything to get their leg over.. and some will have more self respect...

Totally unfair or cheeky or how ever you describe it but its the start of a selection process. Chatting for 5 messages takes time, a face picture will visually say yes or no in seconds.

There are however no rules saying you have to send one and you can opt out of being in the selection process.

Thats the way i look at it, and my approach now..i think others should follow suit and do the same, shake some profilers out their complacency and create a bit more of a level playing field.

Not that I see its any problem as I am choosing who I send it to, rather than all and sundry, so I am still making the choice of my own free will.

Plus normally I will get a lovely reply with a face pic of the delectable lady herself so I don't see any injustice whatsoever....

Im sorry but I dont agree. Its supply and demand that makes the world go round. I want to see a face pic and if I like I will send one in return. If a guy doesnt want to send one. No prob.... wish them well and say goodbye. They are my terms and I have my reasons. If someone doesnt want to agree to those terms... I have no problem with that. Mind you, I dont search and only answer mail so they approached us first.

Makes us sound like commodities, sitting there on shelves waiting for women to choose us.

Face pics in return for face pics. If a guy wants to send face pics no a first message then he can't expect the gesture to be returned, however if you are going to demand face pics on your profile then you should reciprocate. It's common courtesy and quite honestly I don't think from now on I will bother with any women on here who take the opposite attitude as it says a lot about the kind of person they might be. Selfish and demanding.

No I keep them firmly lodged between my lugs. 90 percent of sex is cerebral to me so it usually helps...

I haven't had one timewaster yet, also I've managed so far to spot every fake profile a mile off so I'm not honestly that fucked about having to "risk" sending my mug shot out.

And like I said I get a face pic back just about every single time so in my mind it doesn't matter in the least to me about the supposed ettiquette of who goes first...

I dont send face pics to unverified members, and only add verified to my friends list - I get a little abuse - it would seem that as a shunned minority (a married larger male)I should be expected to dish out my face and friendship left right and centre

I like the "jumping through hoops" bit. That is what many expect people to do. I don't mind sending face pics and such but I expect people to meet me halfway.
