Had the misfortune of being behind a lady who had her hand baggage searched when returning to plane on a stop in Singapore. The female security guard took great delight in humiliating her by holding up her vibrator and asking her what it was! So embarrassed for her.

We used to love the vibrating bag in the hold, when I worked at Gatwick.

Sadly most of them were shavers that got switched on when the bag got hit in the hold. Occasionally we had a vibrator, the loaders would take the vibrating bag up to the doors of the aircraft. Were the poor passenger, had to remove the batteries in front of everyone.

Like she didn't know. The problem is you just want to get through security so don't want to make a fuss. To be fair though I've always found security staff very professional.

A solid metal butt plug will be pulled because it won’t be easily identified and the officer will want to know that it is safe to go on the plane. Vibrators look very similar to an electric toothbrush under an x-ray - only with a bit more soft material around it.

No. Never been an issue. Airport security want to stop bombers, not cause passengers embarrassment.

Once opened a suitcase that was over weight and forgot that the toys we were taking away were on top of the clothing, everyone in the queue got a nice eyeful of what we were taking away!

I saw a stroppy woman in tears because her boyfriend handn't "packed right" and she was facing having about 17 bottles of Supadrug's finest cosmetics (£5's worth) taken from her hand baggage.

Her truly fed up and broken fella was hoping the world would open up as the airport security chap opened the case to retrieve said war paint and had to delve through thongs, fluffy handcuffs, blindfolds, a strap on and a monster dong.
