Ever fallen in love with someone you shouldn’t have fallen in love with?

Not just a great song...

My usual hairdresser works on one of those barbers where you basically rent a chair. Popped in today and it was here and two younger (20’s) girls. One of them clocked me and asked if she could do mine. I didn’t mind. She was stunning. We chatted as per most hair cuts and the other woman popped out. We carried on chatting and got on great. It got a bit deep and a bit flirty. I started getting the butterflies... she cut slower and slower. A flew times she moved my head and it was more like a lingering stroke. She made it clear she was single and liked older stocky guys. She mentioned she had looked into the swinging screen but never be brave enough

I’m 15+ years older and she is well out of my league but wondered how other people would handle it? I can’t really pop in for another hair cut. This never happens to me! Help!! I’m totally baffled

I worked with a girl in the late 80s but never got of with her but fell in love with her as we were really good friends , we then moved on to other jobs and lost touch , 25 years later when I joined Facebook I looked her up got chatting and 7 years ago we met for a drink , then started seeing each other , even though Iv been with my now wife for over 25 years , the affair lasted a few months but it’s was hard to see each other but I asked her to marry me , she said if I was single she would , I was going to leave my gf and kids for a life with her ,,,

But she wouldn’t let me split up so we stopped seeing each other ,,,

18 months later I married my girlfriend, who I love to bits ,,,,, but still love the other girl

It’s a shame that every thing went wrong , maybe you shouldn’t have left your wife , unless your relationship was at a dead end ?

Short answer, yes. Though I tend to run for the hills when the feeling arises.

You should 100% go back there for a haircut. 15 years isn’t even that much of a difference in the grand scheme of things.

Yes.

Was a case of right person, very wrong time. I had to make a very hard decision and end it.

They were in contact again this time last year ( after 10 years apart). They wanted to meet up, but a fuck and go would have been far too painful.

They are married ( seemingly unhappily) and live on the other side of the world now...I still think what if.

But better to let sleeping dogs lie I think.

He was married and so was I. He chased me until I agreed and we had a full blown affair.

We talked about leaving our respective partners and being together. I’m Indian and he was white and we knew that this would always be difficult.

Regardless of the challenges, I filed for divorce and he never did but kept talking about it.

One day his wife found out that he was having an affair and he dropped me like a bomb and blocked me on everything without so much as a sorry or explanation

Yes.

For almost 2 years...with a guy who works in the same office space (but not the same organisation). I don't know if I'm love with him per se, although I have on occasions had sexual thoughts about him, but I definitely have some kind of loving feeling for him.

Sometimes we find ourselves looking at each other across the office and it's like we're having a conversation with our eyes. He just gets me, we get on sooo well, and I'm lucky to call him a friend too.

He has separated from his wife since we first met, but even so I don't think I ever want to jeopardise what we already have by telling him how I really feel

I’ve only truly been in love once and that was when I was a student. We were inseparable for just about the whole time we were at uni. Then a tall blond rugby player arrived in the Hall we lived in and he became totally obsessed with him. The whole thing broke my heart at the time. Many years later and we’re still good friends, but the whole relationship completely changed my life.

Yes with a 24 year old last year - met on another kink related site and took time to establish a friendship before moving on to play, and little by little fell utterly in love. As I said we were in there alone after a short while and she was cutting slower and slower. I’m as sceptical as you I think, as I was writing it I thought I sounded like a readers wives story lol.
