why would you give a postcode and house number and 15 mins later ignore the door then block them by time they get back home from their wasted journey?

I'm not surprised you're pissed off. There is a minority on the site who prefers to dream and a few who get cold feet and don't know how to say so.

Perhaps have a look at the checks you do first to stop it happening again? Good luck.

One small thing though, I can totally understand you being pissed but I'd take the comments of your profile, it would be a shame to let your bad experience stop you from having others.

Are you sure that they gave you their address? You could have been a victim of a prank.

happened to me too. i think they got cold feet to be honest. you just chalk it down to a bad experience and carry on. there are some very genuine peopel on here.

Could it be you look nothing like the face pics you'd sent? Just a thought as I arranged a meet once with a guy who looked nothing like his "recent" face pic when he turned up, I told him this and went in the club alone, I'm sure he would class me as a time waster too!

that may be the case and you were honest enough to tell him that. to hide behind curtains and not answer the door isnt good form.

i met a lady one who let me in and we chatted and she was very nervous. she then said she couldnt go through with it. i respected her honesty. i thought maybe she just didnt fancy me but we chatted for a while had a cup of tea and i left. we have since met up some 12 months later and we have played since so i knew it wasnt that she didnt like me she just bottled it at the time. i would have been pissed off if she just didnt answer the door and then blocked me.
