I’ve had group sex (mff, mfm, mfmf, mmfff etc etc) that’s been absolutely bloody marvellous because everyone in the group fancied each other and was on exactly the same wavelength - and group sex that’s been just ok!

Same with one on one - for sex to be mind blowing you need the right partner with a similar mindset and lots of chemistry!
