Sorry if this seems like a rant. But I'm frustrated by just how rude some people can be on here. I understand if people are not interested and just don't respond, but when you send a message to someone who's criteria you meet and your polite and respectful and in response you get a one line abusive response. It really gets my back up ... Ok rant over, I feel much better now.

sorry but why you ranting, obviously you didnt match the criteria just as you meet the age etc doesn't mean you meet the looks (just a thought)

I have to agree that whilst a member might think themselves a match for someone, it doesn't necessarily mean that they will _iew that person in the same manner the other way round.

I do think that an initial abusive response to a message is very off, unless something was said in the initial message to cause any offence, that is.

In the same way, some members having been approached, hurriedly read profiles, instantly come up with 2+2=5 and send something back that isn't necessarily the case... yadda yadda ymmv

I understand that I won't be everyone's cup of tea, and for them I say good luck and have fun. I don't mind not getting a response I know it's just part of being a guy on here. I would prefer nothing rather than an insult.

Just because you meet all the criteria, doesn't mean you will tick all their boxes. And the only way to find out if you do is to make contact! But there is no need for them to get abusive about it, block and move on. why worry about someone whose attitude you don't like?

I was about to do a yawn and say its been at least a few days without someone starting a thread about not getting replies but then I realised you're ranting about them being rude.

I agree - no need and the posters advice I've quoted I think is spot on.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it . Some people have no diplomacy or peoples skill .. There is no need to be rude at all even if someone is abusive towards you. At the end of it, I won't be offended by pixels an beings iv not met .. You need to be bigger than that and think if someones rude I'm glad we didn't me .. Power to yourself..
