"It's hard to say, you'd be best off getting the tape measure out. I doubt a 10 would fit you though, probably a 14 would be more like it going off the little I have to work on! " 14!! I thought the ten would be too big ;-D i will try it on and see what happens.

"What are your chest, waist and hip measurements? Women's clothes are cut differently to mens though. Is it expensive, could you afford to buy it and consider it a donation to charity if it didn't fit?" I will buy it tomorrow...I reckon a 14 would be too big. I reckon I'm a 12 but i have ramped up the fitness and stopped eating sugar so I'll probably be a size 10 by the spring

I can see you're fit and toned but that's not the same as slim/skinny. You're also naturally going to be broader than the average woman.

The dress is a white halter neck so i might get away with a 10 if its stretchy. Got into a size 10 black polka dot boob tube dress once but i literally couldn't breathe. Lol. That one was fitted tho with hooks at the back.

However with a halter neck that wouldn't be as important.

"Can anyone tell me based on my profile pic what women's dress size I'm likely to be? I need to know for when i start my transformation. Seen a lovely white halter neck dress in my local charity shop but I don't know if a size 10 would fit me..." I'm a size 10 and im v v slim. A 10 may be a tight squeeze for you. I'm thinking more a 12 or 14

Most guys have broad shoulders. I don't. I weigh 9st 10. I fit into a 10. Just because it looks nice hanging up doesnt mean it will fit you

Seen a lovely white halter neck dress in my local charity shop but I don't know if a size 10 would fit me..." If you are too embarrassed to go into a female clothes shop and try a few dresses on here's a much better way. Ask the girls at work if you can skip into their work skirts at lunch. I'm sure they would let you and also perhaps try their heels on. (Shave first though, noboby wants hairy legs in heels) Hope this helps x

Do more research! | |||

"Transformation is far more than buying a dress FF. Note my use of the word "start" before "transformation".... Transformation shouldn't even be in the same sentence as buying a dress." It's not your place to tell people where to start any changes they're making in their life. Does someone buying a dress affect you personally? No? Then let them live their life the way they want to. And OP, I second what a lot of other people have said - your best bet is to try it on. Women's clothing sizes are notoriously inconsistent (in some shops I have to go down a size, and in others I have to go up 2 or 3!), so don't worry about the number size, just focus on how it fits and how it feels.

"Transformation is far more than buying a dress FF. Note my use of the word "start" before "transformation".... Transformation shouldn't even be in the same sentence as buying a dress. Why not? A hairy guy sticking his wife's knickers on or buying a dress is hardly a transformation is it." Is the op a hairy guy sticking his wife's knickers on and buying a dress? Fuck me how judgmental are you! Everyone has to start somewhere. It's good to know they can rely on the trans community for support, advice and guidance, huh!

"You will naturally be a larger size top than skirt side, I wear flared dresses to hide this So many tricks you can use ." Very much this... my widest point is my hips / bum. On the average Male it’s likely to be his chest / shoulders. Clever clothing tricks will help make a male physique appear more curvaceous in a feminine way!
