Do fake pictures put you off? There might be a profile of somebody you even know in person, possibly have you gone had intimate time with, and then they load fake pictures.

Does that put you off them?

What about the profile that you get on really well with, maybe you have even seen on cam, but uploaded a fake picture, would that put you off then?

It does me, I just wanted to see what other people felt. It says something about them that I personally feel lessens my interest.

Yeah. We usually do a Google image search just to check then block if we are unsure.

It's a fake profile, or somebody who's not completely fake but has some fake pictures, interacts with somebody similar, I wonder if anybody gets disappointed if they ever realise, or do they just enjoy the thrill of the interaction and that's enough for them.

I know admin do the best they can, but it can't be easy to try and maintain everything site aims for.

I can sometimes feel a little bit sorry for people who post fake pictures, they must obviously feel that what they have is not as good as the fake, and therefore none of that can be very good for the self-esteem.

Sadly it's part and parcel of internet forums that people will lie and use fake pictures for attention - in my time here I've been aware of several regular(ish) forumites with "borrowed" pics including one (who's now UNLOS) who was a fairly regular visitor to page one of Hot Pics - they're currently back with at least two other profiles and always "borrow" their pics from the same site.

The worst one though was a guy who amongst other things had a pic of a soldier killed in Afghanistan 12 years ago, one that was a friend of Prince Harry and another that was someone in a super hero suit that turned out to be a woman!! And he was fairly well meet verified too - so either he'd uploaded the pics after those meets or had somehow explained away the differences in body shape etc.

Why people do it I guess varies - attention and never intend to meet, because they think it'll get them a meet and they can explain away the differences due to age of the pic etc - whatever the reason it's pretty sad, but there's not a lot you can do about it other than be on your guard and ready to report when you spot them.

I'd certainly not meet anyone that used borrowed pics.

Having said all that - the one thing to be aware of is some people do post their pics elsewhere, so just because a pic reverse images doesn't automatically mean it's fake or borrowed, but usually with a little extra digging you can get a fair idea.

Don't know about hundreds ha, we usually taken either 3 or 6 of a particular shot (just an option on the phone and allows for gormless looking shots say where one of us blinks at the wrong time, to be ditched) and pick the one we like the most? Tbf we'd feel limited if we could only use one shot before uploading it every time, it would feel like that scene where they're getting Sly Stallone's documents done in Escape to Victory.

Does that put you off them?

What about the profile that you get on really well with, maybe you have even seen on cam, but uploaded a fake picture, would that put you off then

It does me, I just wanted to see what other people felt. It says something about them that I personally feel lessens my interest.

Yeah. We usually do a Google image search just to check then block if we are unsure.

It's not Google Images - It's Google Reverse Image which is a tool Google provides that allows you to search for an image on the web - if you're using Chrome as your browser on a tablet or phone simply click on the image you want to search for and hold until a pop up appears that one of the options is Reverse Image Search - click that and if Google finds a match it will tell you where.

There are a couple of other sites that do the same thing, but you have to copy/paste a link to the pic onto their site - TinEye is one, and a recent one I found is at a site called PrePostSeo (If you Google "Reverse Image Search" it's one of the top responses) which actually is the best I've found.

Two things to remember though - firstly if the tools don't find a match it doesn't automatically mean the pic isn't borrowed - there's only so much of the web these tools can search in the time it takes to provide a response.

Also just because they return a match, it doesn't automatically mean the pic is borrowed - some people do post their pics on multiple sites.

You just have to use an element of common sense as well as the reverse image tools e.g. if a pic appears on multiple porn sites all over the net, chances are it's borrowed

Best thing to do if you suspect a profile is fake or using borrowed pics is report to admin and let them take a look - helps if you can provide some links to other sites it appears too
