just had a message from a guy so checked out his profile and there was a couple of things on there that didnt appeal to me so i politely told him basically thanks but no thanks and he replied back that he doesnt have time to talk to weirdos ! If i dont reply i get called snobby if i do reply I'm a weirdo - case of damn if i do damn if i dont lol

dont reply and block anyone you are not interested in, sadly its safest

must admit i dont reply to men im not interested in, for these very reasons, theres only so many nagative and abusive comes backs you can take from men you have said no to before you think.....f**k this and start ignoring them

The only people i reply to are people im interested in meeting because a posative reply isnt likely to spark such a reaction

Ive even had nasty messages from guys who rant about how rude it is not to send a polite no thanks yet when you do they call you a ugly fucker anyway, so its rude for me not to reply but perfectly acceptable for them to be nasty because they're not what im looking for

Yeah trouble is i was bought up with manners and if a guy sends a polite message i think it only fair to send a nice reply back. Perhaps i should shake off my grammar school morals hehe. But what got me was I've never spoken to him before and yet he still knew i was weird !

We always reply to people when they message us, unless they are rude in their first message.

we have occasionally had some of the more angry guys reply back rudely i usually reply back to them telling them they need to grow up and that their response is exactly why i was not interested in them.. they usually dont reply after that but i have had apologies from a few.

but i still always reply back.. its water off a ducks back when guys say " i didnt want to fuck you anyway you *insert rude/attacking comment here* " it just makes me confirm my suspicions in the first place..

Its sad that there are so many guys out there that cannot take rejection, but the sad fact is that that is the truth. Fab, as anywhere is a microcosm of society and as such is full of the Weird the misguided and the just plain mentally ill. However, it is also full of genuine and nice people to balance it out so we just have to accept and move on with a shrug of the shoulders.

How odd. Never found this to be an issue when letting single guys down from our couples profile. My partner never has any issue when doing the same from her single profile either.

In fact, more often then not we get a further response thanking us for taking time to reply and wishing us luck.

Has it ever crossed anyone's mind that perhaps its the tone or content of the reply which gets the original senders back up?

Radical thought I know.

Not entirely sure how a 'no thank you' can get someones back up.

But of course, you're right! All the women who have posted here must have said something to deserve the insults and attacks they got when they tried to refuse someone.

I swear, if we're not being accused of being rude for not replying, we're accused of being rude when we DO reply! Make your minds up!

We're not all bad ... sadly there's just some sad idiots out there who cant respectfully accept a no thanks.

It's a shame though because as you have said and a few others above it just makes you think twice about replying in the future.

we have mostly had the same but did find that we had the occasional nut who politely asked why not and when told went off the rails! Our reply was always honest but nicely put. We still reply to everyone who fits our criteria and often get a thanks for the reply etc. The only difference being.... when we get a can you please tell me why not message we just block.

It's sad how people lash out at each other and to be honest you see it a lot on here

I always treat people in the way I would want to be treated. I can understand how couples and women would not want to reply to say thanks but no thanks if this is going on. I would suggest reporting the person.

I would personaly rather people said thanks but no than just not bother but only if I met their stated requirements (I always would because I take the time to read a profile).

I had some bird onto me the other day who asked me what I did for a living. When I said well does that really matter what I do work wise she replied back yes it does as I need to no what level of inteligence a man has before I go to bed with him, minus the conversation. So I replied back well in that case luv I polish the shoe of the statue in Wigan park every day to make it shine bright and then thats me done for the day after that no overtime required. She fuckin blocked me hahaha stuck up cow
