At what size is a woman a BBW?

As the title states at what size would you consider a women a BBW?

I'm a UK size 14/16 now, initially I was a 12/14 when I joined this sites almost 5 years ago

I put curvy because at 5'2" I felt I was curvy however, curvy is a shape not about size.

So do you think fab needs more options with describing body shapes and sizes for both men and women? Is a BBW a UK size 16+?

I know nothing is set in stone but I'm interested to know people's own opinions x

I don't think there is a fast rule as to what is considered a BBW

I have read a few things about it and one report said it was dependant on height and size

They said

5ft2 or less = UK size 16+

5ft6 = UK size 18+

5ft10 or above UK size 20+

In my dream world, it wouldn't matter. It's upto you what you want to describe yourself as, at any given time ...as long as you're not too fkn down on yourself. What I'd like to believe anyway?! x

I agree, but it shouldn't matter about size, beautiful is beautiful regardless of size, it is all a matter of personal preference and more importantly a woman's confidence

Yes but if that was true there wouldn't be all the BBW threads on the forums. Hence my wondering about what people think a BBW is, especially those ladies that identify as such. Being a BBW doesn't mean they can't be confident in their body

I used to be a size 22, I'd still never have classed myself as a bbw, big and a woman yeah, still think there's the specific b missing, and looking at your pics you certainly aren't missing that, yes I'm straight but can still admire a stunning lady which you are (hope you don't mind me saying that)

I don't think fab needs more options for body type because no matter how many there are it will always be very subjective. Different people will always have different opinions about what constitutes athletic/slim/BBW.

Personally, BBW isn't a term I would ever use to describe a woman because I think that the topic of size/weight is a bit of a sensitive one, but if a lady chooses to define herself as such then that is up to her. It's such a subjective term I don't think you will ever get a definitive or objective answer.

I would suggest going to a bbw event and if they kick you out for being too skinny you’re not a bbw...

If they allow you to stay then you’re a bbw...

I always thought that being a BBW was about more than just size. Doesn't the second B imply you have to be beautiful as well? Surely no one is automatically beautiful just because they're big.

Those that love BBW’s see beauty in their size not necessarily their face.

At least that’s what I think, as otherwise I have to agree with you!

I've been told I'm beautiful, I know I'm a woman, I'm certainly not slim, but have curves and a wobbly tum, I don't class myself as BBW, I really don't like the term, not all women are beautiful wether they are slim, average, curvy, big. Yet another label in society today. Mrs

I’m 5’9” and now a size 20/22 due to dropping a dress size.

I carry it well apart from my stomach which i’m Working on.

I’ve been told I shouldn’t class myself as BBW but I do as otherwise people moan that i’m not skinny enough.

I've been to a curvy event, and at 5'6“ size 18 (at the time) I was at the thinner end. If that helps.

But I think it's one of those terms, take it if it works for you and leave it if it doesn't.

Probably classed as bbw when you stand on the scales and they say error.

Or when you go home your belly button gets there 15 minutes earlier.

Or when you sit on the beach green peace turns up and tries to get you back in the ocean.

I think the term is bounded about too much on here. I agree there are ladies who are big and beautiful, those who are confident and are rocking their look in a sassy way. But to imply that all big women are beautiful is patronising. Some are. Some aren't. Treat people as individuals and not just a term to use to help you get a fuck.

South Devon... Torbaydos

Hi I find this thread really interesting as I am 5' and a size 22-24. I'm as round as I am tall. Anyway, I always describe myself as a curvy girl, which I am, however, on here there was the option to put ample, which I have. On most dating websites, and I've tried loads, I put bbw and I never have much luck. On here the first b from the bbw, doesn't seem to matter. I don't feel the need to have to say "I'm a big bird by the way" as when I have done that it's been met with positive respondents rather than what I get on other sites.... click there gone. I'm waffling I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

Yes, this...all day long!

Why categorise someone because they're not within the parameters of what society considers to be 'normal'!?

If a woman wants to describe herself that way, then all power to her elbow, but I sincerely hope that doesn't mean that she feels inferior or judged in anyway.

All human beings have the potential to be beautiful, and it's not dependent on what they look like, or what clothing size they are - it's more about who they are as people.

V x

Society has a way of defining "beauty" and the necessary requirements. Big Beautiful Women fall under many categories, whether it height or weight, the only thing that really matters is how you define yourself.

So if your above the average height and/or weight of what society say's is normal you'd be classed as BBW.

Fuck what "They" say. The most important thing is knowing you're the middle "B".

Hope that makes sense...

I’m a very curvy size 16 but wouldn’t describe myself as bbw, although others might. I define myself as somebody with curves, rolls and wobbly bits but someone who is happy and confident in my skin

Not everyone likes that and I sometimes get abusive messages calling me fat, but each to their own I say and if I don’t like something you won’t find me being abusive about it, I just pass on by xx

Id say bbw is a personal term that if a woman refers to herself then she usually feels comfortable in her own skin! confidence is key i think. You can be bigger and be a powerful godess of a woman or a shy self doubting woman.

I absolutely adore 16-22 with real curves fantastic bums and amazing boobs,

Stick thin is so boring!!

Xxxxx

I'm a UK size 14/16 now, initially I was a 12/14 when I joined this sites almost 5 years ago

I put curvy because at 5'2" I felt I was curvy however, curvy is a shape not about size.

So do you think fab needs more options with describing body shapes and sizes for both men and women? Is a BBW a UK size 16+?

I know nothing is set in stone but I'm interested to know people's own opinions x

I would suggest going to a bbw event and if they kick you out for being too skinny you’re not a bbw...

If they allow you to stay then you’re a bbw...that wouldnt work i went to one as there were loads of slim ladies as well lol

I’m not calling you a liar.. I just don’t believe you...

What would a slim/athletic woman be doing at a bbw event?"

Maybe they appreciate larger women to play with

I go to cougars and cubs, I'm definitely not a cougar but I do like them and cubs.

Maybe some slim women attend BBW events because of the men it attracts and maybe they do in fact like BBW women too?

Worksop

I definitely wouldn't say that you're bbw, but a woman can be size 16 and 5ft7 and be bbw, the numbers that specify a womans size don't really mean much, the physical shape is what defines a bbw in my opinion x

Can we not just like who we like no matter who or what they look like!

I prefer bbw curvy women but not all some I’m just not attracted to.

Same with slimer women some I’m attracted to some of them but not all .

Just depends on the person

By your own logic you are saying:

that someone who identified as bbw wouldn't go to a non-bbw event

that the slimmer person doesn't identify as bbw - perhaps they're bigger than they'd like to be (and the reason for the post)

that they aren't attracted to bbw's,

etc.

Or put simply, what ever we might think, there a 1001 answers.

I think it's a little like the discussion around unicorns. Some people like the label, others hate it, and some don't like being labelled in the first place. But despite that (to which of course they are entitled), I guess most of us probably use the terms to find people we are sexually attracted to given there isn't a way to search...?

what is the attraction? to me Mostly the Big Boobs and Curvy Butts what make you different from other women of average size BBW's tho are unique. Never more than 2 alike. the purportions may be similar, but never the same. I have been with about 3 Bigger gals just are fun to be around and care about other thinks like sex, romance, and just getting to know each Be proud to be who you are and trust me, there are alot of guys that like gals like you..and your woman who are big in size or overweight but still feel beautiful of love because they realize that they don’t have to live up to certain “standards” that our society has set in order to be pretty in todays world

What gets me about all of this is that there is really no need to categorise anyone as a particular size because if you are open minded and find someone attractive and the feeling is reciprocated then it shouldn’t make any difference. My last long term partner was tall and curvy and when we first got chatting she said that it was never going to happen because she wasnt into short men. We had two and a half years of the wildest fun I have ever experienced and I miss her but the point is if there was a similar set of labels for men (yes I know there is BBC, Cuck, Dom etc) then how would we feel about being labelled? Ive been thinking about what I might be....SOG (short old goat?) or perhaps SADOM (short arse dirty old man) but I think on the whole I would rather be SASWAMP

(Short and sexy with a massive penis)....well two out of three is true-ish

"Take the letter B off & refer to them as Beautiful Women because that's what they are. x"

Can see the relevance in that, but some users on Fab prefer ladies that are classed as BBW to those with less on them? Therefore by stating that they are BBW they will actively attract those that are actually seriously into them?

With clothing, different brands describe the same physical dimensions differently, and they are meant to be standard!!! When it comes to describing body shape, it is even more subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I'd like to beholding you (corny, I know). Some people hate super-thin women, some love them. It is the same at the other end of the spectrum and at all points in between. For me it is the woman's confidence and inner sexuality that matters, not the label. I've been passionate with thin people and with super-sized and they all had fantastic personalities. Be confident in your own body and your personality will shine.
