No idea, I often wonder the same thing? I love a few dick pics! Just not the ones with a remote, deodorant can, chocolate bar etc etc for size reference, really off putting.

It's not so much a turn off as they aren't a turn on, from a stranger.

And there are so many on here and that get sent I go cock blind.

Also when the profile pic is literally just a cock pointing at me I'm already feeling like I don't want to reply to the message even if it was the best message in the world. So when people message me just asking for advice or something like that and they've got a picture like that they are much less likely to get more than and extremely short and courteous reply at best, as it just completely puts me off looking at it while trying to reply.

So many guys say they don't get a reply or their messages just get deleted, I think this is a major contributing factor personally

Many women don't want to see them, but some do. Bad ones are disembodied, over a sink or toilet, or cum shots. Better ones are arty, bulges, or full body. Too many cock shots looks like it's all you have to offer, and you don't want it to be the first impression you give.

Playing to your widest possible audience, if I were a man, I'd have a variety of tasteful non action pictures, of which no more than one in ten involved a naked penis. Profile picture, no penis, most recent photo, no penis. First messages, unless explicitly requested, definitely no penis. Cock shots should be tasteful and flattering, ideally showing more than just cock. I might keep a private disembodied close up cock shot for those who specifically request it.
