"My boyfriend is always amused that mine is 44. He told me it's the same as an elite athelete and I so love using that excuse to make him train harder lol" Wow, that's low. I've seen mine drop as low as that but not as an average.

"I have tachycardia ... have been on beta blockers about 15 years My resting heart rate when diagnosed was 140-150 !!! With the pills about 75 Makes it extremely hard with cardio exercise finding the optimum heart rate to burn fat " Same. Mines usually about 120-130 but has gone as high as 155 so they admitted me to hospital. I'm now on beta blockers which brings it down to about 88 give or take. They ideally wanted it lower but taking more beta blockers nakes my blood pressure too low and I get faint. I also struggle with cardio excercise so I switched to weight training with a bit of HIIT as I feel sick if I do cardio too long and it makes me cough if my heart rate gets too high for too long haha.

"How do you all know ur heart rate!? I havent got a clue I imagine most people checked their pulse, counted for 30 seconds and multiplied by 2." Yup, normal heart rhythm should be between 60 and 100 bpm. I have Atrial Fibrillation and it's been as high as 160 bpm.

"I'm not sure whether the people posting really low heart rates, are either extreme athletes or don't know how to check the heart rate properly " 99% they're using fit bits etc that are about as accurate as having a mate test you lol

" Theyre pretty accurate theyre basicaly the same as rhe thing they clip on your finger in hospital. But the accuracy is dependent on a good contact which is why fit bits which use thw same tech arnt as accurate as they are often a bit loose

"he normal resting heart rate for adults over the age of 10 years, including older adults, is between 60 and 100 beats per minute (bpm). Highly trained athletes may have a resting heart rate below 60 bpm, sometimes reaching 40 bpm! Strange reading this thread as so many claims but I shouldn't be surprised as so many guys on here also claim to be single when they are not and claim their 5 1/2 in cock is 11 inches. " errr.. I am married and have a 5 1/2 inch cock. but my resting hr has still been sub 40 lol!

This is backed up my the third medicals I have for to a non serious condition. Often the hospital read similar values.

"My fit bit charge says my resting heart rate average is 58 bpm, which has dropped from 66 since I started swimming and gyming again after a double heart bypass." That's great news. Keep up the exercise and it'll do even more I'm sure. Plus you'll feel better and better.
