Christ why do people plan to meet then never show??? one yesterday and one today!! getting beyond a joke, totally messes your day up as could be doing other things.

Maybe do a thread search as their is already a lot of advice about dealing with no show, including looking at what you are doing wrong

I always have a back up plan.. but even that fails sometimes.. I had 3 guys planned for last night..

all made excuses.. oh well.. had loads of fun today and loads more I hope tmw and thursday..

There are some real people.

maybe rethink how you vet potential meets if happening regular . wont garentee ppl wont bottle it but helps out some of the time wasters .

since I have been swinging on my own again, the no shows or late cancellations outway the meets by maybe 10 to 1. It's a thing that single males just have to accept, as we are the majority on the site.

It's easier for fems and couples to have back up plans, as there are plenty of people wantign to meet them.

I have had an ad on for friday, got a room booked, offered to taxi folks, meal, drinks and everythign else, still no takers. lots of maybe's tho.

seems a growing prob, we believe there are a lot on here hoping to meet, then when they get 1, panic as it's their first and either dont show or make sad excuses, it's not for everyone but what can ya do ya cant stop wanna be's joining, so we tend towards those with verifications 1 out of prob 20 are just lookin a lot just seem to want to know what happened at previous meets and what i would do and wear, so when they start questions we now stop and by pass. dont get let down so much now, so it's not just females and couples let people down a lot of single guys too, as for back upplan thats a gr8 idea will have to apply it

A few years ago i suffered habitual no shows, after a bit of advice I changed the way I arranged meets, got very strict on what I wanted and havent had any time wasted since, a lot of the threads on timewasters give this advice.

So many posts on this site concerning 'no shows'.

It has never happened to us-though once someone cancelled two days before the arranged meeting.

Perhaps we are just lucky. Perhaps, on the other hand, we are better at recognising probable time wasters than some people. One of our regular playmates told us of a couple who had failed to materialise at an arranged meeting. We had a look at their profile and the writer, obviously the male half, went on at length about his various fantasies..This would have had us reaching for the 'delete' button immediately. Another one told us of a woman who just didn't answer the door when he turned up at her house as arranged.We had a look at her profile,and she came across as being neurotic which would also have had us reaching for the 'delete' button.

It depends on how you arrange & the no. of meets. Many M-M meets are same day, short-notice meets. Often, both parties are wanting absolute discretion, so do not want to give out too much information. Some 'curious' ones 'bottle it, so high number of 'no-shows'. If I were to arrange with people I 'know' are genuine, such as regulars, 'reccommended' & verified, I would have few 'no-shows', but also, far fewer meets. As it is, about a third of meets I arrange don't happen

Just shows that sometimes the folks on here do know what they are talking about.....I dont think you can eliminate it completely but you can def cut down the chances of it happening

its very rare i get no shows i more get people cancel on me last min and by last min ive had some say they cant make it now while im on my way to the meet

What i tend to do is being a single woman i always meet in public first just for safty so i can get to know them a little before i lock myself away with them lol i live very close to chameleons club so always arrange to meet in a pub that just down the road, if they dont show or cancel very last min ie after ive left the house, i just go to chameleons, if ive booked a hotel i'll just come on here and ask someone ive been chatting to if they would like to meet

It does get to you when people dont show or cancel but its best not to let it bother you because for every negative theres a positive and sometimes ive had some great night as a result of being let down by someone

Basically ,yes, we have never had a no show, its harsh but true. There is no test to join the site, you need to be an adult, use your brains and instinct and take responsibility.

There's a report link on everyones profile. If you click on that one of the options is 'arranged a meet and didn't show'. Not sure what it accomplishes but makes me feel better after being stood up.

well i don't think it is as easy as painting one party to be the 100% guilty and one as 100% innocent....

if he is having a problem with timewasters, then in effect he is the only one that can break that pattern.... and that has to start by looking at themselves and working out if anything could have been done differently...

look.. others don't have problems with so called "timewasters" so maybe they are doing things different that they are...

i could count the amount of timewasters i have had..3... in about 7 years... i changed the way i go about my processes and it suits me fine.... not saying that anything is bulletproof, but you only hear some people going on and complaining about it....

I think while this isnt an internet dating site it shares a lot of characteristics with them and in that regard time wasters go hand in hand with it.

We have had our share of them and they are frustrating and very annoying, especially if they take the time to know you first then do it.

Unfortunately I don't think there is much you can do, just block them and move on ;(

"Thanks For a grate night NOT... Thanks for turning up NOT... As I Said It would be a rush to meet you at 9 but I got there at 8.50 and left at 10!"

I was heading out to play squash and someone sent me a massage asking to meet that night. So I told her I could meet her just after 9 as I needed to go home to get a shower... and then get across town. I was there for 8.50 and waited until 10 in the pub and sat where she said... But she did not turn up?

It is such a pain but hay I'll never meet her again.

Fact: there are timewasters on Fab, forget them and move on. Encounters with them will reduce as your experience grows.

Technology is not infallible; cars, mobiles, sat navs, internet etc can fail. Add the human element to that; accidents, family emergencies, getting name of venue wrong, carers/babysitters letting you down etc You can see why a person might not show.

I'd give it a few days to see what happened. If you hear nothing or your comms are ignored/blocked, fair enough you have a genuine 'no shower'. I'm a contract killer, my rates are competitive, discretion assured. All I need is half-payment up front and the profile
