Advice:Hotel meet costs

Need some guidance and help with keeping on the right side of rules and admin.

I want to arrange a hotel meet or two but i do t think it’s unreasonable to ask for a share of room costs. I was formally warned by admin as i’d put that in a status.

Would i be able to mention cost sharing in messages without falling foul of another warning?

What’s your group view on this??

Didn't know you can't put that as status but then again never heard someone do it either.

By PMs it should be more than fine to discuss hotel arrangements and costs.

My own view is that for the first meet the the person who books the room pays for it. Subsequent meets with the same people are open to negotiation.

I met a lady who's got a fella in work , I backed off then found out after a week he'd hit her so she messaged me again ,we meet up here and tthere and did a holiday inn day use deal.

I paid cash at reception but it wasn't much , I fucked her sensless so didn't care and the soggy bed they cleaned up after we went .

The End

If I'm travelling then I'll book and pay ... I like to know I have somewhere to stay regardless

As far as I am aware asking for money (regardless of what it is for) is against the site rules. However, it might really just come down to the semantics of how you write it. Asking someone in advance to share the actual costs on the day is one thing, however, asking for £50 up front so you can book the room is another matter entirely.

Normally we agree about splitting the hotel cost before the meet.

Nothing at all wrong with splitting the cost, I think it's a fair way of doing it.

If I am arranging a hotel meet, it's my meet, so I for the hotel room.

Whether we've taken turns in booking a room, or split the bill on the day, I've never had any issues with any of my meets sharing hotel costs

I usually pay for the hotel as I like too.

If I meet them again then splitting the costs is ok.

If you use a day use hotel site they generally take cash payment on the day. No need to pay upfront.

With regard to who pays, I'd have that convo via private messaging with the person you are meeting.

No need to put it in your status update.

Or alternatively you could include a line in your profile along the lines oif "prefer hotel meets, happy to pay 50per cent of the cost of the room" or whatever.

Agree, that’s what i’d put in my status and i got a warning for it. I’ll probably keep such conversations for private to avoid censure

I usually look to meet when staying away with work, so I already have my hotel booked but would ask for anyone to contribute to the costs as it’s paid for. (Slightly different I know)

However, I’d have no problem contributing if I was asked as it’s only fair

I will usually book the hotel and pay for it, I do it for me and who I invite is my guest or guests.

Plus I’ll pick an establishment which I’d be happy to stay in and I know it’s my place to stay.

Plus I kinda live by that rule of a gentleman doesn’t ask...he does
