"Need some guidance and help with keeping on the right side of rules and admin. I want to arrange a hotel meet or two but i do t think it’s unreasonable to ask for a share of room costs. I was formally warned by admin as i’d put that in a status. Would i be able to mention cost sharing in messages without falling foul of another warning? What’s your group view on this??" As far as I am aware asking for money (regardless of what it is for) is against the site rules. However, it might really just come down to the semantics of how you write it. Asking someone in advance to share the actual costs on the day is one thing, however, asking for £50 up front so you can book the room is another matter entirely. | |||
