Hi guys,

My other half and I have been wondering about how successful other couples are in their swinging exploites?

We have been on the scene now for about 18 months and really enjoyed it, but sometimes we struggle to have good meets. We would like to think we arnt exactly ugly, yet sometimes we struggle to even chat much to other swingers... let alone meet! is it the same for everyone or are we doing something wrong?!

(please dont read this as a winge... its just a curiousity we have!)

Interesting as we find something quite similar. We came to the conclusion that the thrill of the chase is what excites a lot of people such that when it comes to speaking on the phone - meeting socially - meeting to play, they can't follow through!

that could be another reason...we dont meet people to close to home either. These are your preferences but could be stopping you getting meets. We never have any problems

If it's any comfort, it's not your physical appearance, you seem delicious.

Like the other fellow said, 'action' tends to come in wave patterns. Sometimes I have 5 or more meets in a month, other times once or not at all.

A Thought: You might be able to improve your hits by having more raunchy photos! Can we haz moar?

We are flexable with the ages of the people we play with, after all... we have played with people in their 20's who we wouldnt play with again... and we have played with people in their 40's who are amazing and we would happily meet again!!

you look like an attractive couple so couldnt see that is the problem, but when you set age limits people outside that age ont contact you IF they read your profile..We have our age limit but it a 20 year bracket...after all you can increase it then still say no thanks..good luck xx

For those 'on call' or subject to ever changing work plans spur of the moment is often the only option if you do not want to risk letting people down and then being branded a time waster.

OP - you are great looking and a good profile, so unlikely to be any problem other than just co-ordination with real players.

We have slow months and good months and some months where we cant meet everyone who asks!

but i think it will be compounded for you by the fact that you have a tight schedule.

we have a fair amount of free time ourself but still struggle to get meets sometimes, so don't worry!

If the million and one threads on "professional" is anything to go by people avoid like the plague anyone that had it on their profile.

What is amusing is some people tripping over their tongues here will be seen on the professional threads saying such people are up their own arses.

i have to be honest i never struggle to talk to people on here or get meets, but then im a woman who meets single guys so in all seriousness i get more mail that i could ever handle

The thing i do find hard is finding people i like, i get 50+ messages a day and out of all them by the time i sort out guys im not attracted to, guys whos messages seem pushy etc im maybe left with 1 or 2 guys i would seriously consider, then out of the ones you do like, some will bottle it, arrange a meet them cancel etc

so even as a single woman its not that easy

Hmmmm we struggle too, though we have clubs to go to and established friends to meet with it's the time! as you say a lot on here want to meet NOW!!! that seldom works for us, so the best bet is the clubs...

This site in theory will help out as we can get a diverse group of like minded people and let them know when we are going to a club so they can turn up at the same time... or they can post and if available we could turn up...

Not quite worked out yet! but the theory is good!

You are actually at a very bad age for social life in general let alone swinging, I remember it well, every month another friend would disapear into parenthood, or extra work to cover bigger mortgage get over 40 and all of a sudden friends have spare cash and grown up kids

yes we find meets with single guys very easy to arrange but I guess with couples getting 4 people to all click isnt quite so easy so I guess it will always be difficult. We havnt done clubs so far but are assured thats the way forward for couple fun x

We're okay with meeting single girls and boys but have struggled meeting other couples. The socials we have been to we get on with people great and get a lot of attention but we find it hard to know when to play usually because through no fault but our own we treat it like a night out and just have a laugh but we havnt been to a proper club yet so maybe we should look into it as a lot of you seem to be saying the same thing

Tbh we don't really meet many people from the site - mainly because there's so many time wasters on here & people who like the idea but when it comes down to it come up with all manor of excuses (we've heard them all - maybe an idea for another thread!!). We mainly meet people through clubs & parties then keep in touch with them through fab... Or meet people who are verified by people we know which we also finds cuts out the crap! Overall fairly successful and never really struggle to find some fun.... !!

We also struggle at times too, we do get a lot of offers but not all from what our profile and settings suggest we look for. We see it as the meets we do have are worth the wait

Some advice has been to change your age range but I disagree, we all have these initial setting and preferences when we started out as that was what we would rather, don't change what you look for because meets are rare, we personally would rather rare meets with people that fit our likes than lots of meets with folks that don't xxx

We struggle to get meets sometimes as well. I think it's just down to coordinating diaries really. When people have children to consider its not that easy. Life goes on though eh?

But funny we got a meet tomorrow.

I think its a talking to over phone or messages on here, that makes it easier to confirm details, if you do not get the yes meet at x time and club or place.

Then at least you know it most likely will not happen.

Have to agree with above, we mainly go to clubs to have fun.

Rather than arrange meets ovedr the sites.

But we hoping to change that.

Even going to clubs, we mainly end up playing by ourselves.

Do get to chat to folk thou. So social side been good too.

we dont have problems mailing and chatting to people...the problem we have is 'closing the sale' and actually getting people to meet....chat for ages meet??? no. im sure that as someone else said people like the thrill of the chase.

also this time of year alot come on to sites as newbis.......made a d*unken new years eve resolution....then have second thoughts about playing.

No it's not just you, honestly there's no magic formula for meets unless your prepared to meet absolutely anyone then your gauranteed to get one. But don't loose heart. Your an attractive couple and like a few said previously it's like buses lol non then 3 at once, but stick with the clubs too there generally the first place to meet.

As for not meeting people to close well! think about it they aren't exactly going to go shouting how they know you are they? Unless they've openly told everyone they know that they swing too.

I think the difficulty may lie in the four way match - it is relatively easy for two "singles" to get on, in a couple to couple situation you need not only the females/ males to like the males/ females but there is also an element of the females and males liking/ accepting the same sex partner to play with their partner if this makes sense? That makes the success rate a lot smaller...

Yes there are ups and downs; sometimes I don't fancy anyone enough to want to meet them or my pub shifts get in the way, and don't meet for a couple of months, other times I meet a new person three times per week for two weeks, then it just tails off for a while

We have had no problem meeting people, but most of our play has been at clubs or parties. We don't play every week due to work/kids/gigs etc. Besides we find it more exciting if it is less infrequent and it can build up the excitement
