No face pics for potential meets, really?

I think it’s been discussed before, but how do men/couples/women who won’t provide face photos expect to get meets? Some blurry pic of a dark smudge who could be ANYBODY, literally I couldn’t tell hair or skin colour, and a crap excuse about not having any others on the phone, or a side pic of a minor celebrity and a claim that yes, he really does look like X, but no, strangely, we have no other photos just won’t cut it. Do these people have sex with a hood on?

I recently contributed to a thread where the majority of posters said they found personality more important than looks. I disagreed for casual sex meets but I imagine that people who don't supply face pictures are meeting the ones who put personality first.

I go for personality, but I need SOME idea of what people look like.

Also, if basics like what they look like are hard, then it seems likely other things will be as well. Meet terms can’t be dictated by one side only. Only the Kardashians can get away with that stuff. And I’m pretty sure they’re not on Fab.

It's not about looks though for me. I'm attracted to minds not bodies but I still wouldn't meet without seeing a clear photo or several first.

For me it's about mutual openness, trust etc. Somebody wanting to meet without showing their face here first, that just comes across as somewhat weird and creepy to me.

They could describe their looks. If you trust that their on line personality is their true self you can trust their on line description of their looks.

How the hell do you even meet someone if you don't know what they look like?

Do you have to go around the chosen meeting place asking 'Excuse me. Did we potentially arrange a shag?'

That's not it though. I just wouldn't feel comfortable going somewhere to meet someone, without knowing that I would recognise them on arrival. It would feel too ... stalkery.

Also the whole secrecy and "discretion" thing, if somebody is so concerned with it that they won't even share a photo here, then they really probably aren't my type.

A while ago somebody messaged me here with "I see you around at (my workplace)" but refused to say who they were or show their face. And they appeared surprised when I said that I found that downright creepy.

Of course there's always the chance of an exception, if somebody ticks so many boxes that I can't resist the temptation. It's not happened yet though : )

Sort of...I knew going in that I wouldn’t see him but did think I would get to take the blindfold off at some point. Met alone. I temd to go with my gut instinct as it’s pretty fine tuned and I wasn’t fetting creepy vibes off him. Turned out my gut was right (and he was *very* good in bed )

To the majority I'd say looks are important myself included, if the attraction ain't there I'll likely not find out about their personality that's on here and in the real world.

No face pic and I won't even chat as physical attraction is crucial for me. Saying that I think I've met a few guys who haven't exactly sent me an up to date pic

Yes, we were sent a face pic of a guy with glossy black hair. When he turned up (an hour late but that's another story) he was completely grey. How old his picture was is anybody's guess.

I'm afraid I would never meet without seeing a face pic first .. If they are too concerned about their secret identity then I'm afraid they're not for me. I always send a face pic as it's polite and how would I expect a meet with them not seeing me .. It's beyond me .There has to be some physical attraction in the first place. x

Face pic before meeting is essential. I travel and at my cost so there has to be a level of attraction there. Meeting alone I'll need a face pic beforehand for safety reasons.

I've had a couple of men try to convince me to meet them without seeing their face pic. Why would they even ask a single female to do that?! Just no consideration for her. As if meeting guys alone isn't nervous enough.
