This came through on my local news feed...not wanting to cause any arguments but wanted to gauge people's thoughts...is this something we need to be more conscious about?

Speed-read it - everything seemed to be sane and consensual until drugs were introduced.

Certainly always a risk when drugs or alcohol are involved

This is why you don't mix drugs and sex with people you don't know particularly well.

We enjoy rough sex between ourselves, but when in s club we avoid the drinkers and anyone with bulging eyes or sniffles

Was in a club in London on Friday night.

Couple she was clearly out if it and he was encouraging people to touch.

Walked out of the steam room straight off. Cant be dealing with that sort of thing!.

Wow that's a really tough one.

If she didn't safeword after having agreed it then is it non-consentual assault?

I must admit to have pulled hair from her scalp does seem very much a step further even for committed bdsm players.

On the otherhand a responsible Top/Dom should be asking their play partner if they want to safeword whenever they step it up a level anyway but if none is given then that would be deemed as consent. Id have stopped anyway when it started to go further than before, debriefed for next time see who's happy Who's not and go from there.

Definitely something anyone who plays hard needs to be aware of.

One reason why we don't mix rough play with swing play too. A whole other level of trust.
