I don't usually complain but was chatting with a couple sent a friend request they excepted it. They asked for a face photo sent one. Then asked for one from them and then today they have blocked us!!! What is that all about!!! I know I should not take it too heart but I do!!!

Some people just find it easier to block if they don't find you attractive. A polite, 'not for us' would be much nicer, but thats fab for you.

They received your pic . You was not what they was looking for so no point in sending a pic back . Or getting into a conversation . So the easiest thing to do is block . Harsh but reality on fab

If they were a genuine couple then when they saw your pics you were not to their liking and took the cowards way out and blocked you.

More likely it was a fake profile and they just wanted to look at your photos.

Blocking is a last resort - we have been polite and said no thanks or not responded to winks or messages ... there is a way to give a negative answer. Don't take it personally - people online are often at their least considerate.

I’ve received many “Sorry, not my type” responses, but my favourite was “I’m not instantly attracted to you?”

I send a face pic early on now, saves time when you out those who put so much importance on a selfie

Also a lot of couples are on ego trips and think their champagne in a crystal glass.... mostly they’re just warm piss in a plastic cup

Or maybe just maybe they did not fancy you.

Not sure why people see blocking as offensive. Some use it to filter out the people they aren't interested in, and it saves hassle of having them pop up again.

I’m sorry to hear about the OPs experience, its really not pleasant to have to take and obviously a lot of people are bound to take it to heart, but it’s pretty much the experience that most single men have had at least once on here and probably more.

If you’re mid correspondence it’s definitely the cowards way out and if the same happened in reverse they’d usually be the first to complain!

Then when the Mr offered to meet him for a nice cuppa and discuss some of the things he had said about us after his rejection.

He blocked us lol.

Oh the irony.

But after that episode we do find it easier to say not what we are looking for .

If they push it then we block.
