The 2018 Bad Sex Writing Awards

Have a search on the Guardian website, truly some of the most astonishingly bad attempts at erotica ever written. Some are brilliantly funny (though not supposed to be), but the nipple licking part of "Connect" by Julian Gough genuinely made me shudder.

I now feel as though some of the messages I write aren't that bad after all.

I was more "impressed" by the one that managed to get "vaginal ratchet", "boa constrictor swallows its prey" and "enamelled pepper mill" (seriously?) into one short paragraph supposedly describing sex.
