By any chance, did you get this idea from your barber OP?

Mine "torches" my ears with a lighter after he's finished cutting my hair; but if he leaves the flame only a fraction of a second too long, it stings like billy-o - not to mention the smell!

I wince at the mere thought of a blazing scrotum!
