Slut or stud, what's different?

Why is it is you're female and enjoy lots of sex you are classified as a slut but if your male you are a stud?

Shouldn't both males and females be the same?

For a man to be a stud it requires a lot of attributes. A woman just needs to be a woman really, if they are reasonably attractive it is easy for them. There is a saying that goes "A lock that can be opened by many keys is a shitty lock, but a key that can open many locks is a master key".

Yes they should but they're not. Even in swinging this attitude exists. It'll take centuries to change, if it ever does.

There are people who can think independently and see past this but not many.

A man just needs to fuck lots of women. My brother in law's nickname was stud because he fucked any woman he could get his hands on.

Very true. I'd suggest a stud at a club or party night would be able to perform multiple times, be physically attractive and capable of multiple ejaculations. Whereas if a woman wanted to be a slut in the same situations, all she'd have to do is not stand up, or close her legs.

Can't say I've ever encountered this attitude in swinging. My default assumption would be that the female of the couple had roughly as many partners as the male half of the couple... It would be rather strange to look for a couple where the woman was less experienced and the man was more so!

Controversial opinion but - I guess being a stud is more of an achievement because it’s 1628262939373728 times harder for a man to pull a woman, than it is vice versa

I agree with this except there's another side to it. There was a study that found most online 'slut shaming' is done by other women. In my opinion, the reason is that sluts are a threat to whores. Whereas the average man would love a slut and resent a whore.

Because women bear the kid and men like to be sure the kid is theirs to take responsibility. A woman who sleeps around have casual sex, the man can't be sure and there you have the word slut.

There are more responsibility, emotional attachment and consequence with women.

Swingers still make assumptions about women that they don't make about men in our experience. I think I might lag behind Mr N in number of partners but neither of us can actually recall exactly how many we've both had.

Because consequences

historically, before contraception, it was risky for a woman to sleep with a man for fun only because of pregnancy risks and the man could just deny responsibility.

We have a society where this social norm is now ingrained - even though it no longer makes sense

Honestly is women that do the Slut shaming in the swinging scene....

I’ve read and heard this saying many times in 10 years...

“ if you played with (female name) , I’m not playing with you , she does (insert any sexual act), and anyone who has played with her is (insert any derogatory term).”

I have never heard a man ban a woman because she has fucked to many guys.

True, but what's your opinion on 'reclaiming' words? The actual definition of slut is inherently neutral. The negativity comes from the intent of how it is used.

I find men who think they are studs are often extremely underwhelming. Slut, for me has submissive connotations and therefore doesn't apply to me,regardless of how many men I may or may not have fucked. Plus a guy that sleeps with alot of women, whether he is any good or not, is considered a stud. A woman, especially if she is a good fuck, need only sleep with a very small number of men, but is called a slut because she likes it and it shows. Or even just because she doesn't want to fuck you!

Sounds to me like a 'slut' is a woman who is getting fuc... but not by you,and a 'stud' is the one doing it said humourously.Although remember it is also a word used by people who have been cheated on by others outside the immediate relationship. So it has a few connotations.

Yes "Fat stud", "Dirty stud", "black stud", "fucking stud" dont have as many negative connotations in a lot of people's minds.

I quite like talking dirty but generally try and stay away from terms like slut, as oftentimes someone will have a specific word or two that they really don't like and I might not know.

I try to see slut as a celebratory word, and I'm happier to call myself a slut than a stud for sleeping with a lot of people.

There is a saying that goes "A lock that can be opened by many keys is a shitty lock, but a key that can open many locks is a master key".

And there’s another saying that goes right after that one...

“A pencil sharpener that has sharpened many pencils is a fantastic sharpener, a pencil that has been sharpened many times becomes useless & needs to be thrown away.”

Using shitty analogy’s to essentially praise a mans promiscuity and put down a woman’s is a bit childish in my opinion. Well hello my number 1 fan that doesn't have the same ring to it. It's like comparing getting a job as a Doctor to a checkout girl though.

I like to challenge those who talk a lot of crap, so you’ll find me quoting you a bit, since you do talk a good amount of crap!

It doesn’t have the same ring to it because it negatively refers to a mans promiscuity & I’m guessing you don’t like that.

Negatively referring to a woman’s promiscuity is like a beautiful song to your ears though isn’t it. You think I'd be on a swinging site if I was misogynistic.

Yes I do.

Since I have come across many on here who could be considered mysoginstic by things they’ve said.

I doubt there are many misogynists who are celibate. "

Well you couldn't be more wrong! I don't like the word slut or whore and avoid couples that like degrading the lady. I treat all women I meet with the utmost respect.

"

True!

Not many people would insult someone with the words “Fat stud”, if any!

Fat slut on the other hand would be popular.

Slut is so much better than stud! So you go ahead and call yourself a slut! "

Sounds like the inspiration I need to update my profile.

I once said, at a poly relationship group meeting I went to with a friend, that I'm more of a slut than poly. Didn't go down to well, although it got a chuckle.

"Does ‘slut’ still have negative connotations? We see it as a celebratory word.

It does.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been called “fat slut” “dirty slut” “black slut” “fucking slut” after politely rejecting someone on here.

I doubt many women would use the word “stud” in an offensive manner towards men!

You could be a beautiful slut and have a horrid inside and a fat slut on the outside but a nice person on the inner but every is attracted to different people and it’s back to the old chestnut with fab that they would fuck them but not date them.

"Why is it is you're female and enjoy lots of sex you are classified as a slut but if your male you are a stud?

Shouldn't both males and females be the same? For a man to be a stud it requires a lot of attributes. A woman just needs to be a woman really, if they are reasonably attractive it is easy for them. There is a saying that goes "A lock that can be opened by many keys is a shitty lock, but a key that can open many locks is a master key".

Yet you use an analogy that is negative towards a woman’s promiscuity & basically praises a males promiscuity.

There is nothing wrong with having multiple sexual partners, male or female.

But again, slut is used both positively and negatively.

When is the word stud used negatively? I’ve had enough abusive messages from men on here to know that plenty of them use the word “slut” as a derogatory term to describe a promiscuous woman, which is ironic when previously they’re asking to fuck.

That analogy is a real world analogy. Yeah on here obviously it is embraced and celebrated but that is not the case in reality. I just prefer to give more honest answers than sugarcoating them.

It’s a real world analogy used by men to praise their promiscuity whilst judging women for being promiscuous.

I can’t understand why someone would be in a site like this, whilst agreeing with an analogy like that.

The times I’ve seen that analogy being used are by men on comments towards women talking about being sexual and being judged for it.

Being sexual both male & female is being praised more and more, but there will always be people who think women should be virgins until married and whilst they have multiple sexual partners women shouldn’t.

Me personally I don’t use the slut word I have others I know some men and women like it and use it and some hate it, stud? To me it seems like a cheesy name for a guy who’s popular with the ladies.
