Morning Fabbers,

Here’s two fingers to pants people letting you down and going off radar.

I really feel for the genuine guys who get tainted judgements because of others.

Hola! To all hotties who turn up when they say they will

We had 2 no shows on the one night.

You just move on and say fuck them.

Its frustrating, as I don't think some guys realise the time and effort some folk put in too get ready for a meet

Yup! It’s a great build up isn’t it...

Their loss!

It baffles me as the fun to be had is immense!

Why do you think they don’t show?

Living on a small island, I never have to travel far for meets, but even so, it's hugely irritating to have a no show, especially after a decent period of messaging / chat.

We live and learn..but still get caught out!

Here's hoping that our no shows are a thing of the past

No idea. Last one we had already met the guy before.

Nerves, thrill of the chase. Can't go through with the reality.

Tbh we get miffed about it but just move on to the next meet

I never ask for meets. I think ladies, and couples for that matter, get inundated and will take that initiative when they feel the time is pertanant.

Even though it looks like I am not serious, with no public pics, or many veri's (I prefer discretion) I will always turn up. By the time that situation arises, I want to get to know them better via a social.

It does ruin things for the rest of us. Single men have such a bad rep on here.

But then, I've also been let down by single women AND couples in the same way too though.

On the other hand, I've had some amazing times with people from here also... swings and roundabouts, I guess. I just pay no attention to the no shows and move on

I don't think any less of other men because some are wankers and fantasists.

Whilst the time wasters are frustrating, at least they remove themselves from the selection pool pretty quickly.

Getting people to turn up isn't the problem. Getting people who meet your criteria is.

I always turn up.

Spent 30 minutes sat on a pub car park last Friday evening waiting (social meet), no show, no text.

Got back home and found his profile deleted.

Hey ho, new profile this morning and message of apology. Does he really think we're going to say 'fine, lets try again' and another 50 mile round trip?

Plenty couples and single females actually do meets.

Guys you have ohance don't duck it up.

If the escuse is genuine then we will listen.

Bullshitters can fuck off.

Pardon my french

I’m increasingly hearing from friends of last minute cancellations and no shows. Either my fab friends are becoming more candid or there are more unreliable people on the site. Perhaps a profict of the general public’s increased awareness of the site.,,I can’t think of other reasons.

Yeah really annoys me when I hear of guys letting women down on here. It can be hard to get a meet for guys on here so to then not turn up or even have the courtesy to advise that you can’t make it isn’t good at all.

As my profile says if I say I’ll meet you then I will. I’ve never failed to show for a meet as appreciative that the lady has agreed to meet and don’t like letting people down at all. x

why not use the word people rather than guys after all the women and couples can be let downs too ..on our couples profile this has always been the case over 20 years most of our let downs have been couples mainly and single women a second close on this site and others before it .. its people that let you down not guys

This happened few times now, 5 times that a single guy failed to turn up for a social meet. Finally gave up and now we rarely entertain single men. Not worth it.

I’ve been lucky and even though I rarely meet these days all have showed up ..

Even the spontaneous ones ..

I think a lot might be keyboard dreamers or simply not who they say they are ..

I’ve been sharing let down stories with a fellow female Fabber. It seems that women, couples and single men are all equally susceptible to this flakey phenomena.

Agree whole heartedly. Had a lady contact me for a meet; was all set bar telling me where to meet and she went silent on me ... thankfly I wasn't on the road before I realised my time was wasted

Thankfully I haven’t been let down although I do only meet occasionally. I expect the more meets you arrange the more chance there is that there will be a no show. Law of averages on fab I guess. I also think that it is a fact of life on fab that there are lots of fantasists.

Had two cancelled meets this weekend, probably for completely legitimate reasons. First one was okay cause I went to BGHS instead but today's one completely wrecked my day. Frustrating.

I've had some cancel usually in advance for genuine reasons and usually managed to rearrange.

Never had a no show. Perhaps it has something to do with making sure, as far as is possible, before you decide to meet?
