In forums yes as you can just put your phone down and walk away,but when there sat in front of you droning on about there lives etc, which you know 90% is bs. First couple of meets I had off here did the social thing and they went on for hours

Yep, as many have said above, for me it makes perfect sense to have a social first.

It's not essential, or written in stone. But on the whole I feel happier.

Even more, I can understand why women would prefer this. Guys often overlook the potential safety aspects that women are factoring in.

The majority of my playmeets have come from having a social first.

If a couple they very often go away and discuss between themselves and contact later for a play meet. For single females, it's as much a safety issue as well as a 'spark' social.

Occasionally they lead to having fun straight after, but more often than not, either there and then or later that day contact is made about meeting up for a play.

I always have a social with no expectation of more, I need to meet face to face & see if there's an attraction which you can't get from online chats or phone calls...a lot become more than socials though if not on that day very soon after.

Very much what we're about too. Although social only meets are hard to come by or arrange due to our working schedules. We like to get to clubs/small parties where we can at least have fun together if we don't meet anyone that interests us.

I think if you did that out of the blue to someone/a couple, most people would think you're a weirdo.

Also it would be nice to be able to talk about experiences/points of view on things that this kind of site is about, without committing, or even building up their hopes. If you did that in a pub... "hey we got a couple of swingers coming on to us in the pub the other night, weirdo wife-swappers!!"

For us the social allows us to see people in the flesh are like their pics and they aren’t socially inept( swinging isn’t all about jumping into everyone’s pants)

Most of the people I've played with I've met socially first (going to a club has changed this a little, but I still try to be sociable there).

And I have a few friends in the scene who are nothing but social. We're not each other's type, but we still get on well. I wouldn't give that up.

Even off Fab nobody of sane mind socializes for no reason. Someone is getting something out of it. See this is where I’m going wrong then. I’m going straight to the clubs and meets. Probably do better in a social then arrange meets in clubs or other. Build that trust and confidence you need to have great sex. Hmm definitely on my list once back in Uk next month.

Absolutely! In fact thats a rule of mine for a first meet. You can't really judge anyone on chat or pictures alone so a nice social first to see if there's that spark is a definate. For those only looking for a quick cum and go I guess socials are not a big deal

I just go with the flow. I’m not into ‘cum and go’ type scenarios anyway, so always prefer a social even if we both know it’s going to lead somewhere that night. I’ve had about five socials with one couple who daren’t quite take the plunge yet. We just get a bit closer each time. Good fun!
