I'll do just that, thanks.

But sometimes when a service repeatedly falls far far short it does a person good to get it off their chest, so to speak.

Service? Those volunteer moderators not providing a "good enough service"? How outrageous!

I support the site. The mods might not see a penny of it granted, but as I pay towards the upkeep of the site I'd expect at least an attempt at a streamlined experience of using it.

Whereas recently it seems like any spanner that can be thrown in the works to delay things by hours on end is being done so at a level which recently has been farcical?

They do take the upkeep seriously (I notified them of some security problems that could’ve had disastrous consequences and they were fixed within hours), but coming from the same kind of professional world as they, I can tell you from experience that development projects like this are large, cumbersome and time consuming, and they’re only a small company.

Central

For a free site, with many thousands of users who don't pay to use it, it's generally well regarded and has very high standards IMO. As someone else pointed out, the mods etc are unpaid volunteers and here due to their dedication to the site remaining great - it's a thankless task in many respects and you have to think of them, when negative criticism comes online - they're human, like the rest of us. Ranting may be seen as OK, there are many ways to let off steam of course - and generally adding positive input to improve things can work effectively.

It could be helpful to use backups of important data, such as for organising events - so that there's not total reliance on a website's functionality or availability. Maybe we try to rely too much upon a free service?

The site is free, or £5 per month.

What kind of service are you expecting?

Write to the Minister of Swingers sites, complain to your local Swingers bureau, or start one of those E - petition thingymajigs, they tend to work well

If it's your latest one I would guess it's because in your earlier pics you have a tattoo on your right arm and in the latest one it's not there....maybe that was the issue?

Also the pic for the 31st July this year as well to make it even clearer while we're at it. Clearly not very observant are we at all?

So no ban coming from me on the score of photo fakery thank you, though a imagine a new pair of spectacles coming to both yourself and the poster underneath who suggested so may be far more apt...

I'm proud of that pic as it took me nearly 2 hours to set up and capture the right shot, using only a mobile and various drapes and fabrics to affect light so to have it ripped down meant I may have over-reacted, but under the circumstances it's quite understandable.

I'm big enough to admit that you may not have been accusing directly and that no suggestion was made, but your choice of words suggesting the tattoo wasn't there any more is the kind of thing that causes admin etc to think that I'm somehow using false images which understandably I take very seriously.

As clearly demonstated by the already fully convinced poster directly below your original post assuming this is the case, jumping on the bandwagon and coming out with a completely groundless and idiotic statement as a result.

I think the site admin should do more policing of pics! I think single profiles should only be allowed to have them on their pics and filtered pics should be banned!!!

When I left 2 weeks ago vowing never to come back I realised after joining 2 other swinging sites that Fab was the best. The one was a total rip off and wanted a years membership paid upfront!

Fab is free the others are not!

I'm aware you were "suggesting" and that's fine, no hard feelings there at all. But the choice of words could and WERE easily perceived by the gullible and unthinking as of an inflamatory nature?

And to Tame, sexual equality indeed lol! But there's no "finally" about it sadly, pics of ladies have been gracing the top of the men's most fabbed on and off for a while I'm afraid...

Honestly if this is how you act after a picture rejection, I dread to think how you’d act after a forum ban or similar!

When I first joined my photo verify picture was rejected, have no reason why, it just was.

I resubmitted the same photo and it was accepted, I’ve also had a photo I uploaded rejected once, I also resubmitted and it was accepted.

There are actually real people behind the decisions so maybe they made an honest mistake, nothing more?

I never thought to post a rant for mine personally!

I think the fact I put a lot of effort into taking the pic played a part, but a lot of it was down to the fact that new software introductions to Fab blew big holes in my event organising over last weekend too and this was the fabled straw really?

Just that it all seemed to work against me in a short space of time really, it was like one thing after another?

Still fuck it, I had my rant, I'm chilled now. And that cup of tea offered earlier by another poster would have been splendid, but I decided on malbec in the end!

Ironically I didn't intend it to look like an advert tbf, I just took the theme with the yoghurt sharing my username and ran with it!

But I can see a little relevence to your point at least in the presentation amd colour, so I'll take that as a compliment of sorts really if a 40 year old chap using a mobile phone camera and a load of fabrics can be mistaken for such a usually polished medium! For a second perhaps till reality dawns anyway ha!

O o O oo

I have removed the first post as it breaks forum rules.

To answer some of the points.

1.Admin have explained their reasons on your other thread of why mails were being blocked. They are doing it to keep us all safe from spammers.

2. Sending unsolicited mail will get reported, Admin will then act if it is verified, again, keeping us safe from spammers who send mail without being asked.

3. If you have a pic that is rejected, ask Admin to review from the CONTACT button and if there has been a mistake made by a mod then it will be rectified.
