I don't understand why when you send a polite message , saying that you appreciate and look forward to viewing their profile , and when you have viewed the profile you have enjoyed it very much and all you're saying is thank you for posting beautiful pictures . So why wouldn't the recipient just open the message ??? I know nothing will come of it but I don't understand why they don't even give you the message in the first place or is it just me ????

Maybe they already looked at your profile without opening the message, and know that you are not suited to each other.

They then did not want to waste your time by replying to your polite messages to end up having to tell you they are not interested when the conversation continued.

Because they're not interested,it's really that simple.

If they were interested they would open the messsge,they might even message back,but as it is,they simply aren't interested

They can see the first sentence. They may have looked at your profile and thought there's no point reading the message.

Also, chances are that the profile you’ve enjoyed has also been enjoyed by many more people. Inboxes of such admired profiles fill quickly and your message has most likely got lost in the noise.

Fire (off your message) and forget (about it). One day you may get an email in return which can be considered a surprise...

You need to chill out bro!

So you send a message telling someone that you intend to view their profile.....before actually viewing the profile???

That alone would probably get the message deleted.....people expect you to have read the profile BEFORE messaging and only proceed to messaging if you are what the person is looking for. People do not have time to read and respond to every person that CHOOSES to contact them. That can be 100s per day unless you have very restrictive filters in place.

Maybe you did not explain it very well but I don't see how someone sends a message beforehand warning someone "I am about to view your profile and after I have viewed it I may message you again".....I am very confused.

It's like telephoning someone purely to say I might phone you back in a bit.

You can see about the first 10 words, more if they are short words, and that is usually enough to see what type of message it is.....

example:

WOW great tits luv I would really like to suck on those

Why would I open it when I can see what type of message it is and I do not like being approached in that manner as stated in my profile text.....

Ignoring a persons preferences speaks volumes about your character so I already know I do not want to meet you even if you were some amazingly gorgeous man with a 10" cock.....

Unfortunately however well crafted the message it seems to be a numbers game on here - and the odds are not in favour of single males! Many messages simply won’t be read.

I delete around 90% of my messages unread. I get between 30-50 an hour on most days, so I won’t open a message unless that first line catches my eye and then your profile grabs me.

Not exactly incomprehensible logic. Lovely that you’re being polite but, truth be told, most guys are on here. I just don’t have the time to answer all of the polite messages.

It's not really a sign of intelligence asking a question that has a plethora of threads on it already AND is answered in the fqa section of the site.

Because once conversation is started it often ends up with the guy thinking that the female then wants to meet for sex, for no apparent reason to her. A polite "nice pics" message, even if it also says "I know you're not meeting", ends up with the guy telling her how hot she is and that he would love to play with her, or some just leap straight from a "would love to meet you for a coffee" to "but I might not be able to keep my hands to myself" or other less polite guff like that! That is why messages aren't replied to if it is obvious you are not what someone is looking for, or they just aren't looking for anyone.

It’s worth looking at this as less of a personal attack on you, and more of an explanation of the frustrations by those who may receive many messages not just from you.

The thing to also bear in mind, is that your OP asked a question and many have given their answers. Your messages you describe are statements and as such are difficult to answer other than “thank you”. If you tried to ask an open question in your first message, it’s more likely to get a reply.

everything has to be learnt maybe he's new to forums just because you've been here forever and know the lie of the land, doesn't make you right and him wrong, I havnt read the FAQs either, I shouldn't imagine they make interesting reading but then I don't initiate threads either and I'm not rude to the people I interact with. Oh and the other thing you forget is men can't read they only like the pics
