Me too. I saw them on Alan Carr’s show though and they looked extremely uncomfortable and out of their depth. Far more funny just pottering around in their own home with each other. I think Giles in particular is hilarious.

For me the attraction is seeing the way people react to the tv and each other. There are some original wits on there and its not often you see that in this day of scripted and highly edited telly although I realise that Gogglebox is edited.

I also like seeing extracts of shows that I wouldn't normally watch.

Love the "Nutties" - did you see the one where he was trying to apply a balm to her forehead that was supposed to be relaxing but she was getting more stressed by the minute? Comedy gold that was.

Used to have Giles when he first arrived but think he and Mary are great now, a grower not a shower obviously haha!!

To answer the question though, No I don't think so as a couple. Giles might have a single fab profile without Mary's knowledge lol

A friend of mine had never seen it and couldn’t understand the appeal of whatching other people watching tv. Then he watched it and found he was pleasantly surprised by it.

A friend of mine had never seen it and couldn’t understand the appeal of whatching other people watching tv. Then he watched it and found he was pleasantly surprised by it. "

I was exactly like that then saw it as part of a charity night or similar - hooked now cracks me up completely - such a simple format but works so well.

The two from Wiltshire, probably mid-late 50s she wears big cardigans and patterned tights and sits in a chintzy chair with matching wallpaper behind - he has thick rimmed glasses and acts like a bit of an overgrown schoolboy
