Setting myself up for one word answers on here!!

But seriously do you find a one word answer especially when it's "mmmm" off putting when it seems to happen a lot in a conversation. Once or twice in context is ok.

Sometimes I feel it's a lack of interest and they can't be bothered to type more.

Brighton - even Hove!

It’s an indication of no interest

Under the Duvet

Either they aren't really interested, are answering a few messages at the same time or they're multi tasking ie cooking the tea / watching Antiques Road show.

Got to admit I've been guilty of all of the above.

I use one word answers to people who say they want to meet, then disappear of the chart to reappear weeks later.

It's called 'bye'

many women reply with one word answers because they are chatting to a few at same time, I must admit I'm not a fan ' thanks x' is a common one or ' maybe'

I just think they're not interested so I give up chatting. Fuck knows why they can't just be adult and say they don't want to chat.
