Might be the size of the toys you've bought OP - is always best to start off small and work up using plenty of lube - Lovehoney do several "Anal starter kit" type things that have small, and medium sized toys, as well as things like anal beads that help you ease into things.

Always go with the mantra that there is no such thing as too much lube, take it slowly and don't expect to take everything immediately it takes some working up to (I have a butt plug that I can only say my eyes were bigger than the proverbial when I ordered it and have yet to manage!!)

It also helps to have emptied your bowels and douched beforehand too, not only from a cleanliness perspective, but to help you relax and prepare.

For me prep is important I can’t relax until I know I’m clean. Then I have this serum by pjur that helps it doesn’t numb but it just does something to help anal easier. You put it on then dab it off. Then loads of good lube, I favour liquid silk. Enter slowly keep pausing give your body chance to adjust then go further. Patience and prep are the key.

Also I find on my back or left side most comfortable

I don't like my sexual partners to be pissed either but I think comparing taking illegal drugs, legal highs, p0ppers etc to having a cup of tea or coffee is a pretty lame argument.
