You look better than your photos

So I keep getting this comment and I really don’t know whether to take it as a compliment or not. At first I thought it was just a general nice thing everyone says but someone recently said they are soo surprised by me looking as good as I did because they really weren’t that into my pictures.

My initial thought is that’s good it’s better that I look great in person.

But then the other part of me is offended by being told that my camera skills are awful

How do you feel about this ? Any tips to make me look better in pictures? Lol

My friend uses the "You look better than your photos" line too to try and convince people he is worth meeting apparently a lot of guys use it in England.

I think it's because in real life our faces are animated, and not set into awkward smiles or caught in bad lighting.

I met someone recently who looked much happier in real life-with smiley eyes and mouth-than in his photos. He also looked younger in reality.

I think you look ok in your pics. Take it as a compliment. Some people just aren't photogenic.

That's actually a very good point. I'm all pouty in mine whereas in real life I smile a lot and no duck lips.

I dislike having my pic taken, I just don't think I have a photogenic face.

The best facial pics I have of me, are a few that were taken unawares.

I get told all the time I look in real life than my photos.
