We have all seen them and chatted to them. The profiles that seem too good to be true who have been on here for a few months but have no verifications or meets. How do you all spot them and what stories can you tell?

I just get a gut feeling about people. I’ve met loads of unverified on past profiles if they’ve been quite new and never been let down. The same can’t be said for the verified.

If you’ve got your head screwed on, I think you just know.

Common sense and use of Google Reverse Image/TinEye mainly.

I also tend to take my time chatting to people and getting to know them, avoiding any sex chat and the like - it s out the fakes nicely

That’s a good point I forgot. I’ve hardly ever talked sex with anyone I’ve met other than maybe asking about likes and dislikes.

Good strategy - and I’m always wary if there’s an immediate suggestion we shift the conversation off here to Kik etc.

Hmm, interesting. I get accused of being fake a lot. I thought getting verified would help but maybe not then.
