I have arrived, seen inside and told them I’m not interested in having sex with them or in their home, and then left.

What level of filth is acceptable? A bit of dust or what? Because I know I'm not great at keeping up with cleaning but I wouldn't say I live in squalor

I’m rather anxious when it comes to cleanliness and I must say it’s definitely a major factor in my desire to play or not.

I could never get sexy or even relax somewhere that is untidy, smells less than good or is downright dirty... (bathrooms are the worst!!! Arghhhh!!!)

A world all of his own

Thankfully on the occasions that I've visited someone's home it's always been clean and tidy and likewise, if someone's coming to my home, I always make sure it's spotless.

That's why a couple coming round is always a good reason for us getting round to a bit of clean and shine

It’s got to be tidy and clean, I like to make an effort to be clean and smell good, and it’s a mood killer getting in a dirty bed ??

My bum is certainly not dusty but the flat is although I do clean and dust it's never show home clean like some people's. Pets don't help.

I am a bit OCD when it comes to clean which is why I prefer hotel meets.

I have been to people's houses where I didn't even want to sit down let alone get up to anything involving getting clothes off.

I’m so glad it’s not just me that gets concerned about this! I don’t expect perfection, but clean and tidy is a must... especially the bathroom!

It's happened twice to me and both times the people involved were often on cam in chat so there was no cause for concern I thought. But the cleanest part of their home was around the cam. Both were wipe your feet on the way out

If you have a social meet first, consider mentioning that you really dislike dirty places and would prefer someone to get s hotel if they live like that or meet at a club. It sounds like I've been fortunate as I've only heard of disasters.

Not had it myself but have met men who have told me they experienced it. In general I find that single men make a big effort with their home if they are inviting a woman round it seems a lot of women don't seem to which I don't understand.

France, And sometimes in

This is a subject i was recently thinking about and wondering if it was just my bad luck. I've had several meets with guys and their places have been an absolute mess, especially the kitchen with every surface piled high with dirty pots and plates etc and then bedrooms with stuff all over the floor and surfaces. Really off putting for sure. Whenever i host for a meet i make sure everything is spotless.

I have met with couples and never had a problem so is it just the guys that have places like this?

If they live alone there's no excuse for having a dirty or untidy home.

I live with a son who doesn't clear up after himself and two dogs who moult incessantly and chew everything they can reach.

It's a never-ending circle of cleaning.

Thats bad I really don't know why someone would invite people round when there house is in that state what are they thinking?

I've seen a pretty dirty house, enough to put me of having sex there. I'd differentiate between dirty and untidy, I'm much more tolerant of the latter.

For those who've been to a messy house and wondered what the host was thinking; maybe they had tidied/cleaned to their satisfaction!

I do make an effort before anyone comes round but it's particularly thorough when sex is involved, as others have mentioned it's a proxy for personal cleanliness. Clean sheets in the bed are an excellent sign to my mind

Mike

Not all guys have dirty homes. I think this depends on people and how they've been brought up.

No escuses at all on living like this!

If someones house is filthy what is their personal hygiene like?

Once had this experience - chatting to a lady online and she wanted a spontaneous meet so I thought ok I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and go to her house. I got a sinking feeling as I turned into her street but thought I better turn up now I’m here. She was rather older than I expected and her house was overrun by two massive dogs and a cage full of birds. It wasn’t filthy but it just stank of animals and I made my excuses and left shortly after that. It was a bit strange really because it made me quite angry with myself afterwards for not reading the obvious signs and letting my standards slip, and thus embarrassing myself and her....quite Idiotic of me.

Clyde is currently renovating the house. It's a one man job so it's taking a while. The last owner was a self confessed DIY expert, so basically the place was falling apart. Anyhow, to keep on topic, there are things scattered around the place. Tools here and there, wood, plaster etc. It's there for a reason though, not because as a rule we're untidy.

We did visit a couple once and we could feel our shoes sticking to the carpet as we walked into their living room. After sitting down for a few minutes we noticed we were covered in cat fur and crumbs.

Clyde, ever the outspoken gent, said we weren't going to get our kit off in a hairy shithole and we left. We left their front door open as we left to let some fresh air in. The place needed it.

Don't understand why people would ask you back if the house was a shit hole shows no respect.

If I had left my cup out I would get the evil look from the Mrs lol

Many years ago I went to see this lady who by all means looked clean and well presented...as I had trouble finding the house she gave me directions to where she was...as I pulled up I thought wow she's even nicer than I thought....i went into the house sat in lounge talking..there was a funny smell but couldn't put my finger on it...anyway we headed to the bedroom and this smell just slapped me in the face as she opened the bedroom...as I walked in there was four cats scattered all around the room..cat shit on floor window cill and on a pile of clothes..the bed had no sheets on it covered in stains..there was piles of cat fluff all over...i made an excuse to go to bathroom...i threw up in toilet flushed it said I'd eaten something dodgy and left...id travelled almost an hour to come and see her...i spent the hour with window open spitting as I must have picked up cat hairs all over me...

The only minging homes I've been into are a couple of single men from here. Both in their 40's. Both of them had kids but those kids did not live with them. Yet their homes were filthy! I swiftly refused their offer of a cuppa.
