i had ladys things for over 6 weeks .. now he gives me tablets to stop it . But i hope i can have coil back had one 5 years and was ok untill thay changed it and that come out not sure why. Using a mooncup, isn't worth it if you have heavy periods (hope the use of the word, heavy doesn't offend) I have one and thought it would help, but I am lucky if I get half hour from it, so the same as plus tampax, when heavy. For light days its ok and does come in handy if your not around any shops, but need a loo with a sink in the same room hahah

Look into the Mirena coil, I'm had it fitted a year ago to help with various issues. It isn't for everyone so your GP may advise against, I had constant light bleeding for 6 months but for me, it was the lesser of 2 evils. If your bleeding has gone on for a while they should do bloods and also a scan to look for causes. Hope it's sorted soon. Evie X

I had one of them for 5 years and then tell me i have to get new one fitted ...... and the new one come out in first week .. i had x rays to see and had gone doc said my bad perids may have done this . So things are bad and i hope i can go back a 3rd time as i was happy over 5 years with coil . Them tablets are not really good as he say i can only take 2 or 3 a day and still it dont stop it .. i end up taking 5 ..

During my first time with a new partner I bled for the first time due to an abrasion on my cervix that I found out about later. It didn't bother him at all and we still see each other!

I know it's not the same as period but still took me by surprise and I was more embarrassed than he was.

My point too Jo...I wouldn't feel clean. I have an implant injected into my stomach every 28 days plus mefanaemic and transaemic acid to stem my flow. I take iron three times a day and last year spent three days in hospital having a blood transfusion as my periods make me aneamic.

Killing fields is spot on.

Coil was removed last month today the painters arrived ,talk about messy looks like there's been a murder.I'm white as a sheet and feeling drained. This is the first time I've ever hated being a woman. Dare that man come near me when he gets home and there WILL be a murder

Look into the Mirena coil, I'm had it fitted a year ago to help with various issues. It isn't for everyone so your GP may advise against, I had constant light bleeding for 6 months but for me, it was the lesser of 2 evils. If your bleeding has gone on for a while they should do bloods and also a scan to look for causes. Hope it's sorted soon. Evie X"

i have marina coil and it has made it soooo much easir still get the monthly cycle but soo light and only last a couple of days.

had one 5 years and 2 months had 2nd one fitted it come out first week not sure why , i hope i can have one again but he has nt said nothing , just keep getting tablets .

Well iron, copper or whatever metal it is in it I still don't like it, blood has always smelt of metal to me

If it smelt of gold I might be more interested though but not sure if gold even smells
