Slim,Athletic,Average etc

We are down as Mr being average and Mrs being slim .

Mr is a 34" waist height 5'10"

Mrs is size 8 height 5' 8"

Is this correct as we see the average boundary on here being stretched.

Or do we need to re calibrate

Have long been saying that the search parameters and profile information needs to be updated for his and her description and more accurate search capabilities so people can actually search as per their personal preferences rather than generic.

Your allowed to search by ethnicity so why not height and body size and endowment?

For example if a guy likes women who are a size 18 and above then why can't he search for that.

Or if a woman likes guy's who are over 6ft who are vwe then she should be able to search.

Obviously people may not be 100%accurate on profile but at least it narrows the search and gives people more of an accurate reflection of ourselves on profile.

The average waist size for a male in the UK is 37-38 inches so we’d class 34 inches as slim or athletic. Depends on age too as we’ve seen guys with huge beer bellies in their 40s or 50s who class themselves as average, at least in the pubs they go to

Wow 38" waist average in UK...ok we need to rethink our settings.

We now understand the average is larger than what we expect

Wow I think I need to look carefully at my waist size. Being a 30/31” will I be classed as anorexic.......hahaha

Ohh wait if that’s right and I should class myself as anorexic that would mean I’m an obese anorexic as according to my doctors chart weight / height I’m on the boarder of being obese. Hehehe...

And that's the difference what the nation's average is and what average should be medically/healthy.

We will stick to healthy average as national average is obese

I must admit I have wondered the same recently, more so after rejoining. I've always seen myself as average, (in many ways!) but when I look at other profiles and see some are, what I would suggest bigger than average I wonder if I should say I'm slim? I included my weight in my profile, 13.5 stone, I'm also 6' tall, so people can draw their own conclusions. I'm also a size 34". Perhaps there should be a weight category when you join that can be updated?

I guess with the trend for society to be larger, then average would also become 'larger'?

Don't start on the word curvy!

I use curvy to describe myself and I'm dress size 8, I've seen women dress size 18 and above who also use curvy to describe themselves, think the pictures are a more accurate portrayal.

Pictures are best as the labels of “Average, Slim, Curvy” will have a totally different meaning to every single person.

I don’t think Fab could put anything on the profile that would make it more accurate as people would still lie or at least bend the truth!

Mine is set as Fabulous because I’m a fat female and there isn’t an option for that!
