"Smutty joke about stirrups... Seriously, maybe refresh your profile text, take some new pics, treat it as a beginning, not episode 4? " It's not the attracting bit I'm concerned about... it's the actual mental meeting block I seem to have acquired...it all seems too scary now. Where have these nerves come from? I never used to feel like this

"So... hubby and I haven't been meeting for at least a year... how on earth does one get back on the horse when it's so huge??!! Anyone else returned to swinging after taking a break? Did you cautiously climb the ladder or just take a massive run up, close your eyes and hope the horse hasn't bolted? " We know exactly where you're coming from. We've been swinging a few years but had to take an enforced break. Now we feel we want to start again but everytime we think we might go to a club we somehow find an excuse not to go.

I never used to feel like this " I'm feeling the same about the scary stuff atm. It's always been in the back of my mind and nothings happened to make me feel like this but all of a sudden I'm like 'what if'.... Perhaps you two could go to a club together?

At least now you're coming from a position where you've been there and done that before and have some idea of what to expect? Unless that's the issue? I suppose it depends on what inspired the decision to take a break in the first place?

"My last Fab meet was in Dec 2016! Since then I’ve largely been UNLOSed other than a brief return as Dan for a couple of months (but I wasn’t feeling it, so UNLOSed again!) and 2 very short lived indeed (like a couple of weeks) under a pseudonym as I knew I couldn’t meet anyone. But like the two of you, I felt that now was the right time to get back “on the horse” hence rejoined. It’s actually quite a big horse, isn’t it? I have my first meet this week. The self doubt is already seeping in! But maybe it’s like riding a bike after a fall, you’re worried about getting back on it. But when you do it all comes flooding back and before you know it you’re pedalling away like a good ‘un! I’m mixing my metaphors but I hope you both find the courage to do it - you’re both going to be in demand and you’re both looking great! Good luck! Have fun!! " Good on you for jumping back in there... so what you're saying is I need to get back on there and pedal that horse?

I'm completely full of the what ifs... the biggest one being what if I go to all the effort of arranging something (That's not easy in itself) and then I chicken out last minute?? We are considering club but even that scares me!
