Oh how we wish there was an anti-veri system so that complete Fab fakes could be named and shamed before they put people to time and trouble.

Yes of course we do. It’s not rocket science. But wouldn’t it be great if there was a system that enabled genuine fabbers to call out the total fakes.

Even a rating system a la Amazon where they show you the number of good and bad reviews of a product.

Cool jee is a total fake. Arranged to meet us and bailed. No contact made. All lies but I could easily get a few friends to back me up......and off you pop. Totally open to abuse. Too many unstable folk on here.

Or vengeful people If I went along and also said Cool jee is a total fake and got a couple of well verified friends to do the same where would that leave the victim?

Well, the balance of feedback works well for Amazon, and it works well for Ebay. So, it’s not as if negative feedback systems are intrinsically unusable on the interweb. Granted it takes a little bit of nouse to come up with something solid.

The problem with the current veri system is that it only works one way. So it gives, or can give, an inherently skewed description of an operator on here.

But, I’m not sure how easy it really would be in practice for a single malicious individual to drum up gang suppprt for a dissing campaign.

Quite apart from anything else, the sort of person likely to do that is also the sort of person who has few if any friends here on Fab.

Yes, one can always find reasons for doing nothing but there have been enough posts on here over last couple of years to make one realise that veris per se is not a foolproof system.

No system is truly foolproof. One thing I have learnt is that women, couples and to a lesser extent men havea network of friends, farmore powerful and influential than on fab. Little secret kik groups dotted around, taking it in turns to dismember anyone who has affronted one of the group.

We are tribal by nature and there are very few lone wolves about. This in turn makes negative veri's dangerous.

It isn't about the technology. It is about the abuse of technology.

You aren't trying to fuck an Amazon store...

Actually, its well known that the ratings system on Amazon has been broken for a long time. It's not that hard to employ services that will provide you with thousands of positive reviews for your product.

I appreciate your original thought, but I think a short period on the forums will show you that there are VERY popular fabbers who can drum up support for a diss campaign if required.

Sex isn’t like buying hair straighteners. No one will get pissy because you bought GHDs 2 days after they did and had a good time with them.

It wasn't meant to be patronising but seeing as admin have clearly stated alot of times this won't happen you are totally wasting you time. And as for knowing people ....you would be very surprised how many I know after years on the scene.
