Is anyone here who was in this lifestyle back in the 1970s/80s/90s.

Would be great to hear what it was like back when there was no internet or apps etc. Also the 1980’s/90s was the height of the AIDS/HIV crisis.

Was it difficult to meet likeminded people?

Usually in ads in back of newspapers and porn mags where people met. Or parties where you swapped car keys!!!!!

I started at the end of the 90s.

Most of my experiences at that time were of house parties and the occasional underground kink club.

There were websites but had to find them the hard way and getting into them even harder.

Over the last 20yrs attitudes have changed so much its as different as chalk and cheese... Id say 10 years ago was the best cross over time. Swingers were using the internet and meets were easier to sort because... Well people wanted to meet

Today on sites like here there are way to many idiots, time wasters and fantasists who talk a big game but wont commit... Seems like swinging has become to socially acceptable which draws in all sorts

Same with kink sites too though, even more so since 50 shades of shite... Seems like most now think they are a dom

Whilst it wasn't as prolific as it is now, it still went on.

Contact magazines, newspaper sections etc.

The best thing about it then, was if someone made the effort to contact (or reply to) you, then there was a damn good chance they were genuine/serious!

The Internet has made things easier, but Fab, and sites like it, encourages the wannabee swingers, timewasters, photo collectors etc., etc., as it doesn't need much effort.

Happy days

Do you think that people were more hesitant to meet due the fear of aids/hiv? Must have been a scary time.
