It can leave it feeling gritty if it goes in but we just need to close them. Just ask first before sex begins as I have had a few guys pull out and give me a messy facial without asking and messed up my makeup right before I was about to go out. Annoying. Also if that happens in public super embarrassing as its obvious you're face has been spunked on if you wear a lot of makeup and it's humiliating, though sometimes that public degradation can be part of the turn on.
