this is spot on for us also. Any porno references or self proclamations along with those that disrespect others end in our not for bin.

We know ours is a Marmite but hey ho. Live and die by the knowledge that we know we aren't for everyone, nor do we want to be.

Some are scary for sure. Mine is my nickname we were working on site and a gorgeous Scottish lady working in the sales kept calling me fabbibum, cause she loved my bum and with all the lads hearing it. It kind of stuck so I even use it myself lol

Definitely! I think anything with "destroyer" in for example wouldn't even merit looking at their profile. Equally, a clever name has made us look. Though we'd advise against being too clever - certainly a few have been lost on us.

I guess the question is whether it works the other way - can a name be too bland..?

"Yes. Anyone using the word horny is a dweeby old geography teacher with no imagination. "

I've got horny in my name, because there was a road sign in Crowland, that was supposed to say Thorney and Peterborough, but the letters had been removed to say, horn y Pete. I liked the look of it and nicked it for my ID on FAB. As for teaching geography, no that's not me, although the road seems apt.

Maybe some of the Crowland social scene remembers seeing it.

No road cyclist EVER, would call themselves STI LOVER

(Shimano Total Integration, is a set of brake levers that can change gear by pushing one their double brake levers/paddles sideways to change gear and squeezing to brake. The little inner paddle moves the chain to the smaller rings, the larger one does the opposite.)

Other brands are available.

...and yes I Iove my STIs, on my Giant DEFY and not on my genitals. Might make a funny t-shirt though!

Would you make an exeception for Nigel 'The dark destroyer' Benn?

I'm sure that name wouldn't be a problem for him.

That's perfectly logical, and mashing words together makes them hard to read. (I could say I read yours as lev-ee-oh-SA rather than lev-ee-OH-sa )

I wear 1950s inspired dresses a lot. And I couldn't think of another username that wouldn't lead back to me somehow!

Thank you!

A swing dress is fit and flare, knee length, can be worn with a petticoat. (I don't do that often, it's a bit "extra" most of the time, ha) Fortunately there are several places that sell such things, they're quite popular among some alternative women. (I don't fit in that subset. I've just always liked big flouncy skirts!)
