Meeting safely on Fab.

This is from the site faq section. Any other safety tips, please feel free to add them here.

Do you have any tips for safe meeting?

Don't forget that the only person responsible for your safety is you, so don't put yourself in a situation where a stranger can let you down. These are some tips to help:

* Don't give strangers your home phone number, your usual mobile number or your address or let them know where you work. Buy a spare PAYG SIM for your mobile and use it for initial contacts.

* Don't rely on strangers for transport, so don't agree to go somewhere in a car with someone you don't know.

* Don't turn up to strange addresses without having met the people you're expecting, first, beforehand.

* Always meet first somewhere safe and public (a cafe) first.

* Always tell someone you trust who you're going to meet, and where.

* Don't arrange meets without having spoken to the people you're expecting to meet first on phone OR on seen on cam.

* Don't invite strangers into your home.

* Don't put yourself in a situation where if someone doesn't turn up, you'll be upset. So don't travel 100s of miles and book into a hotel in the expectation of meeting someone unless you've met them beforehand.

Attending an organised social or a swinging club meet is a good place to start.

All good advice.

Always use a 'burner' phone.

Go to a meet under your own steam.

Tell someone, even if it's just a fab friend that your going.

If it looks suspect, walk the fuck away.

If ANYTHING seems odd or uncomfortable before meeting, just don't do it. If it feels wrong at any point during the meet, leave! no explanation needed.

Always carry enough cash to pay for a taxi home.

If any potential meet has a problem with you telling someone where you'll be etc, don't go.

If you have any doubts, meet somewhere you don't much care about. I'll never tell an initial Fab meet about my favourite cafes, but a Wetherspoons in the centre of the nearest big town or city isn't going to be a big loss if the other person ends up being a problem.

If you found any of these informative then do your best to refrain from activities that might pass on your genes. Anal and oral are viable alternatives.

I for one am glad we live in a time where we can share information to keep ourselves safe. I know I was naive once, and am happy to share if it helps others. Maybe you weren't. Good for you!

Great advice from everyone.

Never get too confident thinking that you know it all just because other previous meets have gone well.

If your guy says I feel uncomfortable then get out any way you can

Be safe everyone x

Don't give strangers your home phone number... because it'll give away that you're lying about your age & are actually ancient.

Instead of some kind of military style operation where you go to a cafe and then leave a note on a dog to actually meet at McDonald's but have a friend waiting in Burger King for you to give the ok -you could just meet at a bloody swingers club if you're that serious about it. Ever thought of that?

I (Mart) am 5'10", and "16 and a half stone of nasty" (as someone described me after seeing me in "action" lol), worked security, and I have done martial arts in the past.... so I'm confident that I can handle anything that crops up.

So, no, we don't do the pic thing.

My advice was more for the single ladies.

Totally agree with this, on the occasions I (male) have had a one to one, I insist the lady has a safety number and code to call.

Not an option for everyone, nor desirable for everyone. None of this is desperately onerous. I do it every time I meet someone new from here (unless we meet in a club).

If you don't like it, don't do it, and don't worry about others.

Quite informative and scary as well, we tend to forget the reality over fun, and it is difficult to find wolf in sheep skin.

If I am single girl and met guy in public place and built chemistry in 2 hours still won't go to his house, can you know aperson in 2 hours, give me break. If you are fine to go always prefer day time. Keep peper spray or red chili powder in bag some time you just need 2 mins to run away safely. Last but not least never fight back in worst case scenario and if you think you can over power man if he is not big guy, hit at weekest spot of man (you know where).

I'm not sure carrying things which can be construed as offensive weapons is a wise plan.

And most men guard their bits. There are other ways. But if you use your instincts during a social you're less likely to need to know.

You're not obliged to swing at a club, but the safety benefit would come from being in a room where people can see you. If that puts people off then it boggles my mind why they log on to fabswingers
