I regular would be someone you meet on regular basis; a fuckbuddy, basically. A FWB is more than a fuckbuddy, it's a friend who you do things with other than fucking.

For me-a fuck buddy is someone you meet occasionally for sex, no contact in between meets except to arrange the next meet.

A FWB is some one who you maybe chat more with, have more of a connection with, in between fucking.

I prefer a FB, less room for any confusion, as a couple of my FWBs have got a bit needy and clingy in the past.

But horses for courses .

Same here although my supposedly FWB ditched me for a younger model but still wants coffee meets but i think I’m going to struggle with just that so think it’s best to not bother at all which is a shame as we had an amazing connection sexually and as friends

Very much like the idea of trying a FWB situation

As I like to have some connection with who I’m with

Would be worried they would be expecting more though and it turning emotional in some way

At present I’d be quite happy to just be able to find somebody genuine and trustworthy to become a reguler FB let alone a FWB , I’m beginning to think they don’t exist in real life

My point exactly. One person usually has different expectations or develops different expectations in a FWB relationship.

For me FB is more clear cut...it's sex only...not a quasi relationship where generally one person invests more emotion than the other.

True but it works if you can find the right balance, not easy sometimes though. So important for both people to know the score beforehand though.

To me having a FB and meeting for just sex does not feel right but a FWB where you get to know each other a little feel more comfortable and put more into satisfying each others needs feels so much better. But it had to be made clear that it is NSA from the start.

Some years ago I had a FWB and all way good until she kept saying she loved me and started getting to emotional and I had to end it.
